And yet...he's at OU despite Venables "not having a spot for him".

And whose blessing were the players that left for USC supposed to get since OU didn't have a coach? Yours?

Face it. USC, Riley and the players who left OU, did absolutely nothing wrong and you, other Sooners fans and your Governor are all having meltdowns and making up ridiculous conspiracy theories to make yourselves feel better.

And you still haven't answered my question.
This is a tale of 2 different ways to do things, nothing more. It’s an age old coaching move to not take recruits or players from your old school. As for the one player, if you can’t see what happened that’s on you. No idea what you mean on the question.

Crazy shit is they were good in the 1st half
Agreed. They held up vs the front 4. As soon as they started bringing that middle pressure it changed the pass rush and the game.

How did you do yesterday? I made two mistakes. I had Mixon under 60ish yards. Didn’t expect Mixon to have multiple 10 plus yard runs vs that Rams DL when San Fran couldn’t make that happen. I hit five of 6 legs on that same game parlay (Kupp anytime TD, u 53.5, Kupp 80+ receiving, Boyd 25 + receiving, and 3 Q o 9.5 points) but Mixon screwed that parlay. And I took a flyer on the wrong MVP because I got greedy. Von Miller had 2 sacks but Kupp was the man and all things seen this season says taking him at +600 was a great play. Overall down $100 on the Super Bowl but had a fun day.

Most 19 year old kids playing at a high D1 level don’t care all that much about the history of the program.

They care a lot more about the people they are playing for and playing with.

Sorry, but that is just the truth.

For example, Nick Saban matters a lot more to Alabama’s success than their history.

Exactly. Yes, things like tradition do matter, but not in the way that most fans think.

They only matter in that, for example, if a kid is good football player in SoCal, his parents probably want him tp go to USC and he likely grew up wanting to play there because of USC's tradition of winning, Heisman's and most of all...history of putting players in the NFL.

But, as we saw under Helton. if the coaching isn't there and the team isn't winning like they should, many of those players go to other schools. It's why Bryce Young is at Alabama instead of USC.

Von Miller had a great game too.

The Rams gotta figure out a way to keep him if they can. Especially if Donald retires.

I can only see one down side. Nice that the Rams got good veteran players. Miller, Weddle, etc. But when does mortgaging your future come back and bite them...?

I didn’t touch Akers but we assessed it the same way. Thought it would be the Rams to run the football and not the Bengals.

After the SB run is over.....like most great teams. Then you have to rebuild for 3-4 seasons.

BSPN is gonna be effin insufferable here in L.A. this week, but one good thing did come out of this...

Eli Apple, after the shit you talked after you beat the Chiefs(offering to buy them tickets to the Superbowl), I truly do hope you enjoy your nice, tall, frosty glass of shut the fuck up. Please drink it slowly...

Seemed like a generous offer. The Chiefs should be more appreciative.

If Riley was as bad as you all claim...why are you so upset that he left?

Also, whose "blessing" were the players who left OU supposed to get since OU no longer had a coach?

Oh, and which OU player did Venables yank the schollie from to sign the kid since he "didn't have a spot for him"?

Not upset that he left, now that we know what he was. In life it’s all about how you go about doing things sometimes. He may be the best offensive coordinator in the country, but it’s obvious he wasn’t worthy of what was given to him. It’s ok, OU is better off, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be bad blood going forward. Also doesn’t mean that Riley’s rep isn’t tarnished in the coaching world.

As for the kid that wanted to play at OU, I believe he is currently enrolled on his own, but he will go on scholly. You have to know coaches have ways of handling that stuff. I really can’t believe you are even questioning this one kid, I brought it up and showed how hard it was for him to leave Clemson, all because of Venables. It’s an integrity thing, that’s all. Obviously Riley can live with it, it will be ok.
