Not sure I'd call them meaningless as the players do care. Well, unless the favorite loses then it's the Sabanesque didn't want to be there.

I do agree it's an exhibition. Game like that and cannot even say I was a little nervous. at times annoyed, but not nervous near the end.

Glad to see OSU D pick it up and hope the other OSU DC helps. Thinking the offense might be OK. Wonder what it's like for a guy like Harrison to barely see the field all season. Cannot be easy.

I did, too...have to give credit where due as they really turned things around on D (even before QB went down).

Will say I wonder why Utah saved their TOs and why we used TO at 12 seconds instead of making sure FG was the last play of regulation.

Looked like two different defenses last night. Really odd.

And yeah it was a head scratcher to see Utah not use their timeouts late in the game.

I still think it's far more the players. I don't say that to demean saban at all as recruiting is way more than half the battle in CFB and he might be the best. If they switched coaches for the game would Cinci have won? I say no chance.

Has to say something about his coaching that a guy who I'd call a lesser coach than him overall (Miles) did more at LSU than Saban did. Hell, Orgeron won a title at LSU and Saban never did. Same at MSU with Dantonio after Saban left.

I'd say this about the OSU coaches, too. I don't think Meyer beat Saban in the CFP because of all the time he had. It was more the players. Switch coaches last night and OSU still wins.....hell, maybe easier than they did.

They are their because Saban and his staff prepares them for the NFL better than anybody.

The coach is the program in college athletics.

Not sure about prepares them better than anybody and cannot be proven. Pretty sure having the best players is a good reason they get to the NFL. But we were talking about the actual coaching.

His track record is proof of that.

There's no question that Saban's the GOAT of CFB coaches.

This is an incredible stat.

Saban got to Bama in '07. Each of his draft classes has won a national championship.

I could nit-pick and mention a coach from D-III that actually has a more impressive coaching resume than Saban. But it's D-III. Not the same at all.
