Stubbornness is the worst trait in a coach.Still won't own his fuck-ups...
He went for it against the Browns every 4th down but was lucky enough to get it almost every time. If it wasn't for the blown PI call on 4th and 18 they lose that game and he gets scrutinized. If he wins this KC game, he probably gets praised. Either way it's not a recipe for winning football, doesn't matter what analytics sayStill won't own his fuck-ups...
I said it in the NFL board. Dude left a lotta cheese and lettuce on the table with his wack play calling. At least nine points by my calculations., Which woulda been plenty to win the game...WTF was the Chargers HC thinking last night? He messed up big time. Loss is 100% on him.
Looks like he is getting ripped a new one now LOLIf LA loses this game it is 100% on coaching.
All the 4th down misses + not using Ekeler on critical plays
I get that he is banged up, but he has to get the ball on these goal line runs. Handing to inexperienced Kelly instead?
You get what you deserve.
Actually helps the Browns a bit, just another playoff team losing. Not that it matters anymore lol.Buuuuut, as I said earlier, I'll gladly accept the results...![]()

From what was said last night, hes fairly aggressive when it comes to going for it on 4th down.
Generally speaking, I tend to agree with it. Imo, if you cant get a first down on 4th and 1 or 2, you dont deserve to win.
Having said that, I also think there was a time or 2 that he should have just kicked the field goal. It felt like he was trying to put the game away when he would have been better served extending the lead.
Funny thing is that if it had just worked once...folks would be calling it gutsy.
Like I said in a different comment you take the points when playing an offense like the Chiefs. But I was surprised to hear last night how many times the Chargers have gone for it on 4th down this season.
He was going for it 4th and 7 against the Browns in his own territory. I mean looking at their %'s it has worked but at some point in a close game you just have to take the points. 3 can go a long way in a close game. If he takes one of those FG's they likely win the game vs KCFrom what was said last night, hes fairly aggressive when it comes to going for it on 4th down.

On the other hand, you might look to put the game away as soon as possible when facing an offense like the Chiefs.
