He definitely is not playing very well this season.

But he stepped up at the most important time.

Still, the Chiefs will need him to play better if they want to go all the way. Chargers handed them that game with poor decisions/execution all night.

Unfortunately you're right, coach. His accuracy and decision making aren't where they were a season ago. Honestly I think a lot of it is his patience, or rather, lack thereof...

Teams are defending him and the Chiefs differently. They are taking away the big plays and trying to force them to drive down the field. Mahomes eventually starts trying to force things and that is when they start to struggle.
