I know a guy that works for DIRECTV. He is telling me they are being told Uverse and DIRECTV have no more than 2 more years max. Cable may survive in some form but not for long I don’t think.

Not sure that's the entire reason. They've also had an elevated schedule since then (Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys). It's not a matter of talent, but focus IMO.

I have it now. It needs improvement for sure. For thing, channel numbers so that you can hop channels easier instead of bouncing back to the guide every time would be nice. It can be a bit laggy going back and forth to the guide.

I can agree controversy helps the discussions...but there would have been controversy no matter who they chose. The renewals are years down the line and a different format so cannot see that mattering. By this logic, will they not vote the best teams in the top 4 next year so they have to play as opposed to getting a bye? I don't think so.

Just my opinions.

Of course, they're going to give byes to the "best teams" because that's who they believe will provide the best matchups for the semi-finals and finals.

Using this year as an example, the committee might seed FSU lower because of their starting QB being out...but they'd still be in the playoff.
