I brought up that metric because you flat out said the ACC is an easier conference.
Ok?

And when I asked to think beyond that one metric you immediately balked... all but admitting that the SEC is the better conference because of their strength at the top.

Your dancing.

Y'all using that one metric as the full picture is mildly amusing.

I'm treating it at the level of humor. I really don't believe y'all don't understand college football better than that.

*You're

And no, I'm not. Conference strength is a myth. All conferences are essentially the same. There are top teams, mid-tier teams and dregs. The only measure we have is when they play each other and even that is suspect at best.

Texas beat the SEC champs, does that mean they're better than all the other teams in the SEC...including UGA?

It's interesting that "conference strength" is used to favor the SEC when it comes to cfp spots but becomes unimportant when another conference has a winning record against them.

Lol what does that matter? There's no need to play the games if thats the mindset. Don't play a season and pick the teams you want in because what happens on the field doesn't mean a damn thing
You argue exclusively from extremes (as it seems to me).

Nothing I've said or suggested is tantamount to season games not mattering... so I have no interest following your wild tangent here.

I don't care who the better conference was. We aren't comparing 13-0 vs 13-0

We are comparing 13-0 vs 12-1 power 5 schools. 13-0 should always win

It's nice to see you admit that the measure you keep relying on is "suspect at best".

Anywho... Bama, UGA, Missouri, LSU, Ole Miss... the only team at that level in the ACC is FSU.

I get so tired of this argument. Conferences don’t win titles, period.

I’m not going there, the Eagles beat them when it mattered last year.
They didn't have a qb. Most teams aren't going to win when they are forced to use a rb as qb

They need home field so they better not stumble again

How do you know? Have they played?

That's the old "Well it wasn't a top tier SEC team" bs argument that was used when an SEC team would lose OOC.

That argument changes to "they didn't want to be there" when "top tier" SEC teams lose in bowl games.

But a point is... if FSU is in the SEC, do they go undefeated?

Just pointing out the fact that it's significantly harder to get that perfect record in a tougher conference.

Y'all talk like the SEC gets all the advantage. There's a downside too.

You making this about me... we could just use the AP or Coaches Poll rankings and take me out of it.

Unless you're claiming those polls are biased in favor of the SEC too?
