No it’s not. 8-9 and 9-8 division winners shouldn’t be hosting 11 win wildcard teams. Division winners in the NFL are one tier above meaningless. This is bullshit
In the NFL where you play over 1/3 of your games in division, I disagree that they are close to meaninglessNo it’s not. 8-9 and 9-8 division winners shouldn’t be hosting 11 win wildcard teams. Division winners in the NFL are one tier above meaningless.
Like the reseeding part too.No it’s not. 8-9 and 9-8 division winners shouldn’t be hosting 11 win wildcard teams. Division winners in the NFL are one tier above meaningless.

Again, you don't like 6 games in division? They should just get rid of divisions with this type of seeding
Neat. You don’t know shit about football though so it’s easy to dismiss your opinion. In the NFL where you play over 1/3 of your games in division, I disagree that they are close to meaningless
LOL ‘kNeat. You don’t know shit about football though so it’s easy to dismiss your opinion.
To the 8-9 9-8 division winner the existence of the division is the only reason they’re in the playoffs in the first place. They were able to play 6 football games vs medicore to bad football teams. They should just get rid of divisions with this type of seeding
Home teams have a big edge in playoff games.I can see both sides of it but I kind of like being able to steal a top seeds place, though you can’t take home field in those games. Probably doesn’t matter much honestly.
Again, you don't like 6 games in division?
The only value the division has is rivalry games. Not if you’re going to devalue it
Play round robin and 2 rivalry games for 17! Games per year
No need to not have Steelers ravens twice a year for example
The only value the division has is rivalry games.
Can’t do it. You know this. The entire NFC East is composed of rivalry games. But the AFC South doesn’t have any rivalries. The divisions make for good scheduling that can be easily rotatedSo get rid of it and just keep the few rivalry games
But flatten the schedule
In the sense division winners still make playoffs cannot be considered meaningless. Also seems like for most part divisions can go in cycles of being tough or weak so my preference would be leave them as is with the switch they are talking about.Neat. Yep. A tier above meaningless is what I said. Give them one of the 7 playoff spots but seed based on record. In the sense division winners still make playoffs cannot be considered meaningless. Yes and as think mentioned I like the idea of reseeding as well. Think NBA should do that, too.Yep. A tier above meaningless is what I said. Give them one of the 7 playoff spots but seed based on record.
