Greatest third man in penalty I think I’ve ever seen.

Good riddance as far as I’m concerned

No question that idiot Haslam fucked things up by giving that scumbag DW that contract.

But I think it's funny how many times my team is mentioned in the article.

Not disagreeing with anything.

But it seems the Ravens wanna use the Browns as the excuse/reason they might not be able to get a deal done with Lamar.

Blaming my dysfunctional team isn't going to solve the contract issues.

Either get a deal done or move on.

Yep. @Wamu will disagree but with the way contract negotiation works, that was a game changer. I’m hoping my Birds can get off the hook with only guaranteeing 2/3 of the eventual contract.

Why would I disagree when I said the same thing?

No question that idiot Haslam fucked things up by giving that scumbag DW that contract.

Mea Culpa. I read the intent of your post wrong.

Good deal. Gotta remember I wasn't happy when my team signed that scumbag to that insane contract. If there's one player today that didn't deserve a deal like that it was him. It will always disgust me he's the QB of my team. Will never be a fan of his.

@Shanemansj13 had a few posts the other day to help me understand the intent. Because the initial contract has 100% of it guaranteed, it makes Watson a prime candidate for contract renegotiations to help the Browns manipulate the cap and field a solid roster around his talents.

What a quote for the Browns' fans, yikes....

The Baltimore Ravens don’t want to pay Lamar Jackson — the second unanimous MVP in NFL history — his asking price, and it’s all because one of the worst franchises in the league forever changed the market for quarterbacks.

Losers love messing it up for everybody else.

I don't get into all the details like that. But at least there's something that makes sense about the contract.

If your franchise isn’t kicking the can down the road in cap manipulation these days, it’s malpractice. Cap rules haven’t changed much. There’s over 25 years worth of blue print on how to kick the cab down the road without it ever becoming due.

Agreed, but it's still kicking the can for everyone.

"one of the worst franchises in the league forever" :L

My team is the face of dysfunction since their return in '99. But to say that is coming off like a crying lil bitch. An unnecessary thing to say. To say they have been one of the worst franchises in the league forever is simply ignorant.

As a point of note, it really wasn’t a “return”. It was a brand new franchise from the jump. The franchise that you’re saying “returned” is now in Baltimore and they’ve won 2 Super Bowls since shaking the stink of Cleveland off their franchise.

We've been through this before. If the Baltimore Ravens are really the Cleveland Browns, which they aren't, then why didn't the teams records go with them to Baltimore?

Example. When the Colts moved to Indy all the teams records went with them. When Manning became the teams all time leading passer he broke all of Johnny U's records.

Paul Brown is still the Browns winningest coach. Every other team that relocated the teams history went with them but that didn't happen with the Browns. They got to keep all of their original history. And that's why John Harbaugh is the Ravens winningest HC and not Paul Brown.
