I think IF they wanted him out he runs a similar scheme to many. They could either find such a coach or bring in a coach who will fit his scheme to the players (as I actually think Stefanski does). doubt the scheme is or will be the same with Watson as it was with JB or Baker. wasn't even the same with JB as it was with Baker.

I have been unimpressed with his use of Watsons athleticism I will say that.

But that said Watson bears about 60 percent of that at least.

One thing is for sure. This franchise is more tied to Watson than Stefanski. If Stefanski can't figure it out he will be headed out.

I

Said we could upgrade the QB position and trade Carr last offseason when a lot of teams needed a QB and get into the Watson sweepstakes.

Nothing wrong with trying to upgrade the position just like the Browns did.
That doesn't mean I don't like Carr but if you have watched the Raider games this season....he isn't the ONLY problem either.

No doubt...unless the reports are true his sit down with Stefanski did matter in his decision. I'm sure the money meant more but not sure a sitdown with, say, Freddie gets him to come. But even if true it would be easier to dump Stefanski than Watson.

would ask if the anti Stefanski crew like Vrabel? He had a bit of a must win game and lost at home to Houston. Should they fire him?

Put us in that division instead of Tennessee and we are likely still in it.

sometimes shit happens in the NFL. The other team has good players and is also trying to win. Now start off 1-4 next year or win 8 or less? He is probably gone. Maybe even 9

It's the 3rd quarter and Aaron Rodgers leads the pack in rushing

Mike Vrabel has bought more good will than Stefanski

should he have? He inherited a stable 9-7 team, not a 6-10 mess. He has 1 more playoff win and plays in a much easier division. ...and looks like he might take a major step back this year.

The Browns were only a mess because they were horribly coached. Like one of the 10 worst coached teams in nfl history.

This year isn't anything on that level. The beginning of the season was a gut punch like nothing I've experienced in a month of watching pro sports though. Week after week of getting kicked in the dick.

Man, no doubt about that. ATL, Jets, LAC. shoot me.

Also true that team was horribly coached but they did need a minor clean house and did it. Still, Vrabel walked into a very nice situation and still only has 1 more playoff win (again, in a far weaker division).

I don't think anyone would take Tennesee's roster over Clevelands.
How about the roster Vrabel walked into compared to ours?

Also, if you switched divisions, think perhaps Tennessee has a worse record and ours a little better?

I'm also confident in saying there likely tons of blame the coach guys in TN who want Vrabel gone.

I'd have to look at it.

Maybe a game better? But I don't think the schedules are all that different. They drew the NFC East and AFC west. Browns got the NFC south.

The 2017 Titans

I'd take the 2022 Browns roster.

And I'd definitely take the 2023 roster if Watson gets back to what he was.

The 2017 Titans had a better back 7 for sure on D though. But again...how much of that is Joe Woods.

The Browns have clear holes at DT and a playmaker at LB (or if any could be healthy that would be cool) but I do feel the safeties being trash is more on scheme.

6 against Indy, Houston and Jville instead of Steelers, Cinci and Bmore. Not sure AFC West is better than AFC East.

I'd say Browns and Titans badly underachieved this year.....weak division so TN still has a shot.

Shouldn't we be comparing the 2019 Browns' roster than Stefanski walked into if comparing to one Vrabel walked into? Agree with rest.

Yep.

I don't understand the hate on Stefanski......he waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better thann Freddy boy. Having said that, Vrabel is one of the best coaches in the League. Easily top 3-5.
