Thinking a guy who uses his legs a lot for his success might not age as well.
Except the way he uses his legs, he doesn't take a lot of hits. He's always scrambled to buy time for guys to get open and when he does actually run, he's always been good at getting what he can, then sliding or running out of bounds. So, he should age better than the typical "mobile QB".
I think the biggest thing hurting him, besides the really strange play calling at times, is he's standing in the pocket like he's gonna go 40-50 for 400 yards like Brady or Rodgers and that's never been his game. That may be a byproduct of being in an offense that was designed for Aaron Rodgers.
Also, the Broncos biggest issue has been situational football. They're gaining yards, but they are worst in the league in the red zone and among the worst on 3rd down. That's mostly on the coach...but some of that is on Wilson. He's been in the league long enough that he should be audibling out of some of those. Like when they were in the shotgun on 3rd and 1...he knows better than that and should have gone to a different play.
