They do not but it's a baseball discussion and we are comparing teams in this discussion. Divisions, too.
What’s factually incorrect? The AL Central is the worst division in baseball. The Guardians are the tallest midget. How can something be “the best story in baseball” when no one outside of Guardians fans care? Do you know how disappointed networks would be if the Guardians make a run in the playoffs? No one will watch.

I usually would say our team got the "better end of a deal" when they...well.....get the better end of the deal.
Better end of the deal gets tempered when the primary objective is winning a championship and that doesn’t happen with this model. People like you focus on these small little marginal victories because real victories don’t exist.
If one division has a better record OUTSIDE their division than another division wouldn't it stand to reason the division with the worse record is not better?

Better end of the deal is the team who got the better end of a deal. Is this a conversation you think could go down after the season if Tribe does not win the WS?
No doubt the division we were in helped. No one said otherwise. Though I did correctly point out as of now it is not the worst division in baseball.
My point is that fans usually focus on things like winning and losing in pursuit of a championship. When that isn’t available they pivot to the marginal. They celebrate steps that are supposed to lead to something greater. They celebrate these incremental little victories because there’s nothing else to celebrate.
OK, but does not make your division comparison less factually incorrect.

No it does not. My team plays in the NL East. No one in their right mind would even bring up the NL East in a discussion of the worst divisions in baseball.
That is the ultimate goal but you decided to discuss trades and for some reason cannot get youself to simply say the Tribe has been really good in these deals and come out on the better end of most.
