Most don't, lol. However, they only have 2023 remaining with Cousins under contract, which gives them a short window to draft a candidate for QB in the upcoming draft. They'll likely be mediocre again this year, which will put them somewhere in the middle of the round, which is where his concern comes into play, as they are unlikely to be in easy range of their desired QB prospect in the draft than if they went the Seahawks route.
The draft is loaded with signal callers though

It seems like we heard this past year too and then guys underproduced. You really just never know until you see them on the field and guys emerge. You think Stroud and Young at this point will be top 5 guys and this class is supposed to have depth but I remember hearing about the UNC QB Howell going top 5-10 and then he fell apart.

Well technically two more years of Cousins, maybe if they don't extend him they could have traded him at the deadline or this offseason and go the Seattle tank route. That's two years of mediocrity which is the worst place to be in any league. The future is not very bright for Minny.

Yes, I omitted this season since they don't have that QB in waiting on the roster yet (Mannion and Mond do not qualify, lol).

Were there opportunities to trade Cousins? Most teams are opting for tanking, as guys like Baker and Jimmy had little to no trade market.

Seems at most you have 2 QBs that are consistent per draft. Some drafts you don't get a viable NFL QB. I thought Lawrence would've covered for some of the gaps that the Jags had, but I was wrong. Point being, you can't really project a QB's going to be a stud in the NFL, until they're thrown to the fire.

Yep...works the other way, too. Who saw Burrow as more than even a midround pick...let alone #1?

Topic in the NFL forum. Curious......For those who know the difference (and what each is), what do you think is a better way to measure a QB, Total QBR or passer rating?
For me, they’re just tools that are complements to an argument in a conversation. They aren’t “the argument” as some try and employ them. Give me the consensus opinion among the top 12-13 QB coaches/offensive coordinators in the league who are immersed in the league and film study and that’s my “stat” to determine QB rankings and ratings.

Do we really consider the Guardians as potential buyers?

Jeff Passan of ESPN reported Bieber "could be had" ahead of the Aug. 2 trade deadline, but a team would have to meet the Guardians' "exorbitant" asking price.

It'll be 1.4 billion with all the tickets bought between now and Friday.

Got into a group buy at work today (can't be the only guy left if by some miracle they won lol). Might buy a ticket or two on my own...

I don't think anyone thinks either is "the argument". But of the 2 which is a better gauge to measure QB performance?

Have the QB coaches/OCs offered their opinions to the public?

Murray being forced to do homework. Still can't believe that is in the contract.

Unreal. That isn't normal at all. Players should want to do that by themselves.

They were talking about this on Cowherd yesterday. Apparently the more athletic QB's tend to study less because they can "just wing it".

They were saying that Favre was in the league 5 years before he could read a defense.

Terry Bradshaw was 107-51 and couldn't spell cat if you spotted him the c & a.
