Buehler and Urias are both arb 3 next year.

after that both are free agents.

Turner is a FA after this year.

Freeman and Betts make huge dollars.

Signing Buehler, Urias and Turner is going to be huuuuuge dollars.

If they let go of Turner- maybe they get in on Soto- but absent that- I highly highly doubt it.
Keep hating.....LOL.

Spotrac has an arb4 year listed for Buehler in 2024?

By 2024, they will be clear of Price ($32M), Bauer ($35M), JTurner ($20M), Bellinger ($17M), Kershaw ($17M), Kimbrel ($16M), etc. That's almost $140M in 2022 salary. Sure, Kershaw may decide to extend (but won't be expensive), but unless Bellinger breaks out, the rest of those are gone in 2023 or 2024.

If they had to include that? Probably shouldn't have signed him to that deal.

I think he'll be in the minor leagues within 2-3 years.
Don't see Murray being out of the league back in the minors by that time. He's a decent QB, but in terms of will Arizona ever win anything, highly doubtful.

Yes. It is an outlier.

He has a 2.02 ERA. Nothing before has suggested that was something he could do with any type of regularity.

2- I just looked at the ERA leaders - and I did not even see him on the list. I dont think he even has enough innings itched to be on it.

both ESPN and MLB do not even have him on their lists as it does not appear he even qualifies at this point.

he is 28 and has never pitched 60 innings in the big leagues until this year.

I think he will be good going forward- but I absolutely do not foresee this level of success---- but I guess we will see.

He's 7th after a bad outing this weekend (18 starts, 99.2 IP).

Anyone watch the Cleveland/Boston game last night?

What's the deal with the Red Sox blue & yellow uni's, some kinda throwbacks? Never seen 'em before.

Keep hating.....LOL.

This is some great irony considering how much shit you talk about LeBron now.

I guess when you're in LeBron hate-mode that's somehow different?

plus, you have to see a guy throw 170-190 innings a few times to see if he can hold up and see that his stuff holds up.

this season he is at a little over 90 ip and that is by far the most he has thrown in his career.

its a lot different throwing 180 innings 4-5 years in a row than 200 innings total in a 4 year span.

I am just saying for Soto---- paying Freeman, Betts, Turner, Soto, Urias, and Buehler seems far fetched- but we shall see. Justin Turner and Munchy will both likely be gone after this year. and they will get cap relief from Bauer and Price soon- so that will help.

but that does leave you with some gaps. Smith is maybe the best hitting catcher in baseball and he will have to get paid at some point too- but not for a while.

Smith is arb eligible until 2026.

From that limited data pool for Gonsolin, you're saying outlier is evident but his success can't be projected? You're picking and choosing stats to fit your argument lol. This is first full season in the rotation, of course numbers won't match his past as a fill-in guy. I wouldn't project additional upside given his age (28) though.

After their recent stretch, wouldn't surprise me if they're either having problems getting dressed or are trying to disguise themselves.

Arb 4 is weird. I do not fully understand it. Its about "super 2" rights. Google that and try and parse it if you wish. ITs like rookies that are in the top 20% of playing time or something....its weird and not exaclty easy to understand.

I think if anything the work load is something that will be interesting.

Just saying- pitching 60 innings a year is a lot different than 160 or a 180.....you get tired, worn down....are a little beat up.

I think he will have a solid 2nd half, but not nearly as good as the first.

Really don’t want to see the need for them to put that in there. That’s not a good sign.
I live in Arizona.

We see the need.

He's petulant, entitled and thinks he can just wing it.

He wanted the big contract.

He got it.

Now, do the damn work and prep for your opponent correctly.

I agree with @DJ .

If you need to put in a clause like this, you probably shouldn't be giving him the.deal.

Reminds me of the Wolves meeting with Wiggins to beg him to give more effort before they gave him his max deal.

It didn't workout well for Minny.

But, that's because they wanted Andrew to be something he wasn't.

The Dubs put him in his proper role and he's flourishing.

Bird Gang is hoping it works out that way with the Mighty Midget as well.

Get him prepared.

Get him engaged.

Watch him elevate himself and the team.
