LeBron led BOTH teams in Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, & Blocks in a 7-game Finals.

That's all you need to know that OF COURSE it is in the discussion for greatest Finals performance of all-time.

Jordan in 93 and Magic in 87 would be a couple of candidates in addition to Wade in 06.

Lebron is solidly in that discussion. Not sure how anyone with eyes would say different. Even if the Cavs had lost, Lebron should have won MVP. His stats were almost identical to what Jerry West put up when he became the only player in history to win the finals MVP from the losing team. In fact, if I remember right, except for scoring, Lebron's numbers were slightly better.

On the whole, today's players are more athletic than the players of the 80's and 90's. However, on the whole, the players from the 80's and 90's are better basketball players.

I think the difference is that you have far more "one and done" type players than we had in the 80's and 90's. So, players today that are coming into the league are better from an athleticism perspective, but are worse as far as fundamentals and understanding the game.
