Wilson's best assets are staying on the field, consistency across his game, and not throwing INTs. He's a routinely top-10 QB, but the young guys are just crazy good. He'll have a tough time keeping up with Mahomes, Allen, and even Herbert (who's probably about eight spots too low).
Wilson may or may not be too high on this list at #2 but I question your synopsis. Yes, he does what you state but he does quite a bit more also. His passing %, PER, and QBR all are excellent year after year. He can still kill Ds with his scrambling. His long ball is one of the best in the league, as shown quite a bit last year and also yesterday.

The problem is that “excellent year after year” doesn’t necessarily equate to being a top-10 QB. To illustrate, today Mac Jones has a higher career QB rating than Wilson.

But Wilson had a great day Sunday, no doubts.

.......so he isn't top 10??

Ummmmm......ok I guess.

Your response is just generalities and didn't address any of the points in the response.

We'll see. He's not going to break any records for yards or TDs, but he'll probably stay on the field, be accurate, and keep the INTs to a minimum. That may be enough to stay in the top 10. Maybe even top five. It really depends on how good everybody else is.

Wilson had a great week, but so did a lot of guys. When a few weeks pass and the herd gets thinned we'll see where Wilson sits.

What do you mean Mac Jones has a higher passer rating? After 1 game this year that’s not true. If you are going by career then I’m not even going to pretend like you know what you are talking about.

My point is that Mac's okay game yesterday is on par with Wilson's career sustained excellence - which of course doesn't mean much because it's one game - but it shows how easy it is to put up great numbers in today's NFL. Wilson's great game was one of many really outstanding performances - Mahomes, Stafford, Murray, Winston, etc. It's just brutally hard to stay top-5. Wilson has to be better than his career to be a top-5 QB this year. Yesterday he was.

RW has been the main reason the Seahawks win as often as they do. He's on a team where the Seahawks have been run heavy for the most part, so he doesn't get the pass attempts some QBs do and that gets reflected in pass yardage. However he's been efficient when he does get to throws and he's good for 35 to 40 TDs a season and he limits his interceptions. Wilson throws TDs and wins games and his production is when the game is on the line not garbage time stat padding that some QBs get. He's been a top 5 and will remain a top 5 to 10 for years to come.

He‘ll sit top 5 like he does every year. Wilson has been one of the best qbs in the league for years and barring injury, he will continue to be, I’m not sure how anyone can even argue that.

"One of the best QBs" - sure. One of the top three? Maybe in 2019, but no other year.

He's never been First-Team All-Pro, and only in 2019 did he receive any All-Pro votes at all.

You have to tread a fine line to be consistently top-5 and only ever get All-Pro votes once.

You want to say consistently top-8, I wouldn't argue. Top-5 is a stretch. In fact it's hard to even find a category where he's been consistently top-5 (I found two, and they're not the most exciting).
