How can they not at the very least fire Servais at this point?

That's the only thing they could do right now that could even remotely turn the last bit of season around.

Firing managers in season has worked in the past.

I mean they are probably done either way, but doing nothing just looks like they don't give a damn.

Every time we sense they come close to doing so, they get a win that saves his neck.

I'm afraid we'll be stuck with him for life, the way he and Dipoto are with each other...and Stanton couldn't care less as long as he's making profits.

My point on Servais was more about what can be done to even attempt to salvage this season. Firing your manager is the only in season thing that can impact it. Firing Dipoto would do nothing for the remaining games.

It's still probably too late for pulling the plug on Scott to save it, but it can't hurt them at this point. Maybe that's just my opinion though.

If they're 7 or 8 games back and under 500 by Aug 31st, Scotty better be canned by Sept 1st. It won't change the outcome of missing the playoffs again but at least we won't have to see him wondering around clueless.

I have never seen a player look as unhappy as he looks right now, his body language says I don't want to be here. he got traded to this toilet bowl then the Mariner suck quickly took him over and he can't hit.

Him and Haniger seem like the same player right now just in different corners.

Last time I saw one that unhappy, Chone Figgins let one roll past him vs. Boston.

Prob the same reason he refused to swing at his last at-bat vs Washington. Yeah, he was a tool, but maybe there was more to it.

My guess is Scotty boy will not be canned. If Jerry is still around, he will probably creat a new position for Scott and remove Scott as manager. I don't remember how long they extended Dipstick but he needs to go too. He's the one who brought Scott along with him and they both need to find greener pastures. Just mho.
