Okay I have held my tongue on him for a couple weeks now, but even though he has been their best player this half and had a good game today, he is a clown. What are these amateur bunt attempts over and over, stepping out on a pitch, laughing to the dugout while in the batters box and sitting down in the outfield and soaking up the attention? I know I am old school and this is supposed to be a cool thing in todays game, but man it looks so bush-league to me. We all knew he wasn't going to hold this streak, but what is the real Robles will be the question. Hopefully something in between the Nationals version and the unrealistic first month with Mariners version. Okay I got that off my chest.
Watch the WBC though. Americans and the Japanese don’t like it, but every other culture does. The WBC was great IMO for the younger baseball fans (my son and his friends) I told them several times I’d drill the next batter and they called me a boomer.

I do agree they are smart business men in making money but smart business men also hate losing money. If this team continues to tumble further away from 1st place and by mid September dead in the water and under .500, the FO needs a fall guy to keep the rabid pissed off fan base off their ass. That's Scotty getting removed. Jerry won't get dumped cause he's their perfect yes guy that signs cheap shitty players but again after a year or two of mediocre baseball and possible of 2 seasons under .500 Jerry will be removed to keep the pissed off fans partially off their ass. In comes a new yes man GM and fire sales everything starting the miserable process over.
But Scott isn’t the fall guy. They have let go plenty of guys. They allowed Griggs to leave without a real attempt and they don’t have to fire Jerry. Just not answer his agents call cause his contract is up. All of our dislike of the ownership group actually makes sense because they can hire a President of baseball OP’s, a new GM and a manager that are all cheaper than the crew they have. Hollander got a huge pay raise just because some other team wanted him as the GM. Not cause he was worthy, just he was wanted…..kind of like how Mike Leach kept getting pay raises even though he never attempted to beat UW.

dipoto and/or servais get fired today.

what good does that do this franchise in the short or long term? give me one thing. anything anybody says to answer that in a positive light will sound like the same dogshit that would come out of stanton's own mouth.

the way i see it, servais only gets canned if dipoto okays it (i'll explain why in a bit). if it happens, it will have zero impact on the team this year and beyond,
Probably right. It's Dipoto who is endorsing and building the 3-outcome hitter offense in a ballpark built for small ball. This team will not get to the next level if they continue to build an offense this way. So, IMO, Dipoto is far more responsible for the team's failure than Servais is. But I don't see Dipoto admitting to ownership that his strategy failed, when he could blame Servais for not implementing it correctly. He'd be lying. I think Servais is doing the best he can with the offense most of the time (although I think he should have gone to Dipoto and found a way to put Garver on the 60-day IL). It's the pitching staff that Servais is making mistakes with.

that is where .the owners are..
clunking.
us .cuz .mariners can't get a big time.
hitter .
cuz.
owners won't spring.for one..
and they don't draft them..either..

no Locklear is more of a like..6th hitter.
to start..with..he may be .more than that later..
but not to start with.

3.outcome..hitter..is over calculating.

ya just need a 3rd and 4th hitters...

that are not mariners at this time..
hitters that...can ave and hr..

Louis Garcia..2b..nat bats..is unfortunately..
the best option...I can see...
trading.for.him..would cost..extra..
maybe double..if..your..1b..is locklear.
then..dh .is the ticket
for..#4..

your guess as good as mine..it's not garver

2b..and 1b..and dh..being..
the possable...open spots..

if ya trade for vlade gurrero..
ok it's still going to cost .double .
I don't see it..( for mariners.)
but...

we are talking.about premium talent..
so it's going to cost..

even if. Williamson..comes up...
Rojas will.still...be needed..
2b/ 3b..

who may be available will..be.moore..
but..
not really..cuz if Williamson up..
and Crawford back...Moore would only..
ss..but.its hard to say...
at that point...
then..there is Cole young..
coming soon..
witch..I'm still..would
not trade even for bo..
bichette..
but most other..
prospects..would be on the.table..
just.not..
Cole young..or Williamson..

That's the thing, they've let go of plenty of guys. Next up is Scotty cause they've already rid of everyone else. If Jerry leaves than it's a total house cleaning. Mike Leach is good but I'll give you James Franklin at PSU.

Okay here is where I contradict myself to a degree. I loved the energy and flair of the WBC, but that was a quick tourney with teams celebrating their heritage as they played and I loved that. MLB is a professional league with no allegiance for the players and should be taken with some seriousness. hey, if you are winning and playing a great game for long periods of the season, I would have no problem wit it. But for a team that sucks most nights, I don't like that celebrating or bravado during the game.

and yet.. that.is not what .
is needed..
it's a 3rd and 4th..hitter..
at this ..point...
whitch cuz of. .the cost..
among other ..things .
is..what..has keeped..mariners .
away....

if..bornstens .fish...is cheap..
cuz they..sell..to Russians..
does it mean..not to buy..it..
no..
buy it and sell..to Japanese ..

so.its..just depends..
but it's not. management..
the team .
does not have the guys..
to succeed...
know..if Jedi .and Scott..
want an other job .
that is on them...
but mariners not winning .
I don't believe...is..

I have to.tell...you guys I would..
rather..
lose know...and get better
draft picks. next..year..

then.
trade for a 3rd and 4th hitters .
witch would take ..most .of .the good..
prospects...
to .make the deal ..

than ...fire .people....then..after..
gaining..3rd and 4th..hitters.

you can evaluate...but..know...is ridiculous....to do that...it just is .

no.one can..win...with.no..
3rd or 4th hitters..
and yet..
mariners do...
