I’m not sure if Jerry and Scott are as tied at the hip as they have been. A. I doubt Jerry will lose his job if all he has to do is fire Scott. B. Not sure how close they can be when Jerry traded his two favorite players for nothing (no offense Mitch)

Once Jerry rids of Scott, he has at least a year to shape this team into a playoff team. Anything less he'll probably be gone the following season.

This is where I not totally disagree, but somewhat. I think most of us agree that we aren’t fans of ownership but we have to admit they are smart business guys. Take out Root Sports, they have put their finger up in the air and seen where the wind is blowing. In no way could they fire Scott and keep Jerry. This isn’t a Pete Carroll and John Schneider type situation. Jerry was hired and was suppose to hire Manny Acta then fought for Scott. I don’t think they are tied at the hip individually but they are IMO to ownership.

I'm starting to feel the same way about Robles. He's hitting .161 in August. He's looking more and more like the guy who hit a collective .216 from 2020-2022 seasons in DC.

Okay I have held my tongue on him for a couple weeks now, but even though he has been their best player this half and had a good game today, he is a clown. What are these amateur bunt attempts over and over, stepping out on a pitch, laughing to the dugout while in the batters box and sitting down in the outfield and soaking up the attention? I know I am old school and this is supposed to be a cool thing in todays game, but man it looks so bush-league to me. We all knew he wasn't going to hold this streak, but what is the real Robles will be the question. Hopefully something in between the Nationals version and the unrealistic first month with Mariners version. Okay I got that off my chest.

I do agree they are smart business men in making money but smart business men also hate losing money. If this team continues to tumble further away from 1st place and by mid September dead in the water and under .500, the FO needs a fall guy to keep the rabid pissed off fan base off their ass. That's Scotty getting removed. Jerry won't get dumped cause he's their perfect yes guy that signs cheap shitty players but again after a year or two of mediocre baseball and possible of 2 seasons under .500 Jerry will be removed to keep the pissed off fans partially off their ass. In comes a new yes man GM and fire sales everything starting the miserable process over.

Robles is a bench player and nothing more of that.
He's never hit .300
Only 1 season of 150 games played and 2 other seasons of 130 and 107. The rest are 52 games played or less
In 3 of those seasons he's played triple digits games his best avg was .255
It's a miracle he's actually batting .275
