These are the things we have worried about the whole second half. M's have enough pitching to absorb at least one injury, and probably 2.

They barely have enough to put 2/3 of a decent batting order up every day and the Haniger once again goes out (can't be trusted). If they lose Suarez they also take not only his threat of a HR and the pressure he puts on a pitching staff, but his overall energy and leadership. Lose all those 'good vibes'.

They can't afford to lose position players.

Well ok, they could afford to lose at least one outfielder.

Um, the M's swept them last time they went down there and are 8-8 on the season against them. Came up a bit short on this one. They'll be fine.


We will be just fine. Sure, they can't lose all of the rest of the 19 left, but even .500 the rest of the way is more than good enough given how are the others are falling back below them.

Yah, my point.... .500 against a team that we should be .750+ against.

And for anyone else looking to be worried about the playoff race, all 3 behind them also lost today so their magic numbers shrank with them.
Bal - 15
Chi - 12
Min - 12

Every time all 4 lose, the magic numbers keep on going down, just not as fast.

ESPN and other sites have it at 99.99% chance the M's are in.

Swaggerty needs to be the starting LF right now. Winker out there cost us 2 runs.
And you can't really expect to win when you let Luis Rengifo go yard twice and drive in 4. Trout or Ohtani, ok, tip your cap, but not Rengifo.

He did get two weak dribbler hits. No doubt. Also scored. Of course the catcher dropped the ball and had him dead to rights because Wanker is slow AF, but a run is a run.

Wanker also cost them runs with yet another HORRIBLE defensive performance. You just can't have your left field be an easy place for dead pull righties to get double on as long as it isn't right at him.

There are too many good right handed hitters coming in the playoffs to risk his pathetic defense hurting them.

I don't know that Moore is your playoff answer to anything other than a necessary backup for JP. Sure, anything is an upgrade in LF over Wank, but Moore's batting is as bad as his.
