I was only talking in terms of this year's roster being a disaster, not what they could do in the future with those pieces.Wanker..can be traded..he has value.
In national and he is having an ok year
In the american...by no means great..
But Seattle fans are fustrated..
With his struggles..cuz..they want
playoffs...and deserve it ..i would say
Santana has value as well...
And right know..is dh..and white..
Has work..to do..to be as good..
So I could see an other year..for
him..and cuz they like him in the club
House..
Haniger struggles..make even a bigger case for conforto...and
I'm not sure on this but..what if his srtuggles..are he just really wants to
be..in Santa cruz....what can be done
lololol
I doubt..mariners..will ever trade..lewis
I would not.....idk if he hits..220..or 230
Witch with a spring training..i think..
He will go back..to 250..260..whitch is his normal..
So they have Wanker, Santana, Lewis as a broken trio of DH's that no pitcher in the league fears.
And they can't put 3 people in the outfield consistently that belong there. It is just a disaster of a roster.
I still believe Kelenic can be a superstar, he has the talent but he hasn't had much for confidence when it comes to the majors. He needs some success for a bit and he'll be fine. The home run was nice yesterday in his first at bat but I was more excited for the double when he split the outfielders and didn't try to yank it out of the park. The 1 single huge positive that could evolve from this dumpster fire of an outfield:
KELENIC ( please hear me out before everyone starts laughing )
My thoughts ...
Has JK been a HUGE disappointment thus far? YES
Does JK have the skill set to both help the Ms down this stretch into the playoffs and is he an improvement over Wanker? YES
If I were Servais I drag JK's sorry no confidence ass into my office and sit him down and tell him: "The club NEEDS you right now. here is YOUR chance to win over the fans and show this league and yourself that you belong."
Stick his ass in LF nightly against a RHP and see how he does.
If he tears it up his confidence shoots the the roof and you have yourself a pretty damn good outfielder on the cheap for a few years moving forward.
If he does just average, you have lost nothing because Wankers numbers ( both offensive and defensive ) are below average.
If he falls on his fails and continues to bat .175 with 30-40 at bats down the stretch ... you know it is time to just trade him or whatever moving forward.
His defensive is far beyond Wanker in all aspects an outfielder is graded on: arm strength - range and all other defensive metrics.
We have nothing to lose jamming him into lineups these last 16 games or so. Hell I would also have him in against lefty pitching, playing him nightly until I was clearly shown he is a total failure at the plate.
He wants nothing more than to prove to everyone he is the real deal, now is the time to give him that shot. Our pathetic depth at OF off the bench is laughable.
PLAY JK ! is my chant
I agree that he's not another Ackley, but I think he will sputter at best until traded.I still believe Kelenic can be a superstar, he has the talent but he hasn't had much for confidence when it comes to the majors. He needs some success for a bit and he'll be fine.
