That makes a lot of sense. They taught that to Moore and he got paid. I know they wanted France to hit more homers. I believe it, but man that is so stupid. I would love a .300 hitting 1B who hits doubles. I don't need a .250 hitting 1B that hits 15 homers. Worthless.

Exactly my feelings. For some reason a .275 hitter is looked down upon unless you have 30 bombs.

3 games over .500, won 3 of their last 10 getting just punked by a bottom feeder Angeles team, dead last in baseball in nearly every offensive category, and players openly talking about how depressing it is to play for this team right now. Add that they blew out a record for fastest 10 game lead erosion in league history.

The ship is adrift with no power and no rudder.

Fire the idiot in charge of all of that. There can be no reasonable argument to keep him at this point. He's lost the clubhouse.

Players leave here and do better elsewhere. If that wasn't the case your argument would be more valid.

No one is saying Scott is the only reason this team underperforms nor that changing him out fixes everything.

You have to start somewhere. Scott mismanages the rotation, the lineup, and often makes really bad decisions on pinch hitters.

As far as I'm concerned you start with firing 100% of the hitting staff and Servais.

Of course I'd love to see more done, but those are reasonable first steps.

If Dipoto/ Hollander pick another equally bad skipper then it's time to raise our collective pitchforks and demand higher changes.

I just don't see that happening right now.

And for the record, I doubt we see Scott fired this year either.

My point was we are past the point where there can be solid arguments against firing him.

Great rebuild Dipoto, you nailed it man !! Let’s start another one !! And while we’re at it let’s sign Servais to a 25 year contract !!

To be fair, this current major league roster is prime for a super fast rebuild. If they traded Castillo, Kirby, Gilbert and Cal at this trade deadline, they’d be at 54% in 2026 with probably a $60 million dollar payroll.
