Biggest fear though is ownership most likely won’t buy out a contract in a trade and Jerry has only once really traded top prospects. Someone could argue the Marte/Walker deal but Walker was a prospect still but so was Haniger. In Jerry’s tenure he has mostly been subtracting from the big league roster to get a prospect or making lateral prospect trades. They have the pitching to win in the mid to high 80s even with their defensive and batting issues, but if they fail to use some solid trades it's likely to fall short. Hell, they might not be able to afford to wait until the end of the trade deadline. They have to be aggressive if they care at all about being in contention for the post season. And to not do so would be a crime to waste this rotation.
