Texas is down 9-2 to the Mets after 4.
If that holds they end up tied with the stros (also on an off day) at 33 - 39 with both being 9 games back of the M's.

What a weird year this is.

we have the 7th best winning percentage in MLB right now, just barely behind the brewers. we're .581 and they're .592

i feel like the mariners have had a pretty rough past 5 weeks schedule-wise. so few days off. and it's not going to get better over the next month. between now and the AS break (July 15-18), we only have 3 days off:

Thur 6/27
Mon 7/1
Mon 7/8

But after the AS break, TONS of days off through the end of the season. i think that'll be really good for them.

Kind of proving our point that Seattle’s offense is bad. That schedule is brutal and as long as the M’s just play just ok they should be 10 games up by the AS break.

Yah but, it's all about who gets hot after the All Star Break.... maybe our bats will pick up? Not counting on it. AL is really strong this year... IMO we need to win the division to get a playoff spot. We really need a good batter though. I don't care how good your pitching is, if you can't score runs... you'll eventually lose. Defense can win Championships in football because you got a kicker... in baseball, you gotta manufacture em'...
