I've said this since the beginning of the season. Garver hasn't played anything close to a full season in his career. The Rangers paid him a max of $4 mill/year and clearly didn't think he was worth more when his 23 contract expired. He's getting 600% more guaranteed over the next 2 years for literally being a big lump of shit in our dugout. I'm sure he'll find a way to "get by" even with a few weirdo degenerate gamblers on social media being human slime.

Sadly, the only way we can get hitters with good numbers to even consider coming here is by massively overpaying them. Especially since there's so much interleague play now and good hitters from the NL get to see what it's like to hit at T-Mobile. Garver will make owners even more relcutant to spend more than $10 mill on any FA...all the excuse they need to not go after big bats. Jerry and the staff can't develop decent hitting to save their lives, so we're well and truly fucked, especially since I think we all know M's ownership are going to sell off pretty much all of the pitching we have this offseason and sell it as yet another "rebuild" with a new GM and skipper.
