You can definitely say people had higher hopes over the last 2-3 years for the Lakers,

Who were those people? Everyone knew that when the Dwight/Nash trade blew up in their faces that the Lakers were going to be struggling for a few years.

The easy choice is the Lakers because of how far they have fallen compared to where we are used to seeing them.

However, imo, the correct choice of the one's listed would have to be the Rockets.

Overall though, I'd have to say the Nets have been the most disappointing. I don't think there has been a team that has spent more money and gotten less out of it than the Nets.

I think people expected to see a glimmer of hope by now. At least a sign or two that relevance is indeed on the horizon. Can't really say that about the Lakers right now no matter how optimistic you are of Clarkson/Russell/Randle.

I don't think anyone who was paying attention thought that. They had traded away their foreseeable future going all in on Dwight and Nash in an attempt to get Kobe another ring or 2 before he retired. When that didn't happen, they were left with no 1st round pick 2 years ago when they got Clarkson in the 2nd round and protected picks last year and this one.

Believe it or not, there actually is reason for some optimism now. Even though Clarkson was the 46th pick, he has played like a 1st round pick, Randle has become one of only 9 players in the league averaging a double double, Russell has been playing well since the all star break and Nance Jr. looks to be a whole lot better than anyone thought. They have a solid chance at keeping their top 3 protected pick this year and will have a ton of cap space going into the upcoming off-season. Plus, they won't have to deal with Kobe anymore. When Kobe was still a virtual lock to get a team to the finals or close, the Lakers had no problem attracting FA's. Once he wasn't that guy anymore, no one was interested. Hopefully, they will be now that he's retiring.

With what they already have, if they keep that top pick and can land the right FA or 2, they could be back in the mix fairly quickly. As much as I liked the hire when it happened, I think the first step in the right direction will be to fire Byron Scott and go hard after Luke Walton or Thibs.

I don't understand how the Bucks are 14 games under .500 with that roster

The Warriors. They let an easy opportunity for an all time record slip away because of their showboating and over-confident cockiness. Shame on them for letting us down.

You gonna be able to forgive them if they win another championship?

If not, the Lakers are now accepting new fan applications. I can put a good word in for you if you want. :thumb:

Definitely. I can see by the aura surrounding this team that they won't though. They'll go out in the WCF.

I have them the same, but wouldn't even be willing to bet vcash on it. As long as we get a Warriors/Spurs WCF, I really won't care who wins. Just gonna sit back and enjoy what should be an incredible series.

Why would any team care about making the 8th seed, losing a chance in the lottery, and getting beat in 4-5 games in the first round to the Ws?

The Rockets are incredibly disappointing.

The Rockets are very disappointing, but I actually think the Wizards are more so.

The Rockets were never going to be better than a 4-5 seed, and their window to relevance appeared to be getting smaller with Howard's contract status.

The Wizards, on the other hand, are a young team that was supposed to be on the rise. They were a marquis free agent away from being legitimate title contenders. Now, given their dismal performance in 2016, they are less likely to attract a big free agent and their core does not look nearly as promising as it once did. Beal can't stay on the court, Porter can't defend, and as good as Wall is, he is not good enough to carry a team by himself. Gortat is a nice player, but how much longer will he be able to play at a high level?

Don't remind me.
Last game at sleep train aka Arco Arena tonight! Hopefully they can win it, but I don't have high hopes for it happening.

Me either. Would be nice to go out on a high note, but...

I hope Cousins and Rondo don't sit out with (Rest) tonight, they can do that in the final road games but this is pretty important. Thunder are pretty much locked into the 3 seed so I don't think they have to try hard for this win.
