If we must do this tennis mess, here is my suggestion....each team gets 8 players, 4 men and 4 women(1 draft), and for the playoffs, you must submit 1 men's single, 1 women's single, 1 men's doubles team, 1 women's doubles team, and 1 mixed doubles team. Each of your 8 players must play 1 match, no one plays twice. Each match is a point, whoever wins at least 3 of the 5 matches wins the playoff round

NBA... Greatest supporting cast draft...

Everyone gets to select the 1 guy they will build their team around... Example...

Nos - Jonny Flynn
Ritz - Jordan
Milk - Jordan
UK - Shawn Bradley
EHB - Steph Curry
Fem - Magic
WLK - Magic

Once everyone has their guy, that guy can NOT be selected going forward... Meaning if you picked Magic when we draft you can't get Jordan or Flynn etc... *Everyone can select Jordan, Magic etc. to start a team around, I just used other players for other people to give everyone their preference...

Then post the draft order and draft as we normally do...

I think a salary cap draft would be fun. Always liked those. Say HOF $50, $2 per all star appearance, $1 non all star, $100 cap, must draft 12

If the next draft is basketball, I am interested.

NBA All Star Draft. $50 Salary Cap.

Each All Star Appearance is $1

Examples

Kareem would cot $19
Karl Malone $14

For this draft we make Jordan $25

Players who began their career after 2006 are not eligible.

How's that sound???

I am in if you have space.

In this draft, can multiple teams own the same player?

How about we combine the idea I had for baseball with a salary cap. I'd tweet it to work like this

Draft 9 offensive starters( must have a C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, 3 OF(just outfielders), and a DH
We make the 5 bench players have real value in that you can start any or all 5 in your defensive lineup...example, I have Harmon Killebrew in my batting order, but in the field, I have Vince Coleman, who was on my bench, as a defensive starter. If your DH is a great defender, you can also use him on D.

5 SP(series will be 5 games, 1 start per each SP)
5 RP

That's the typical 24 man squad

Salary cap of $150
HOF players are $25 each. All other players $1 per all star appearance, no all star games are free

Wheww...I had an idea like that but 24 players trying to get in a budget takes A LOT of work, but I guess not much more than my idea. I was originally thinking no bench.

I was thinking of an idea last night...

8 positional players (1b, 2b, ss, 3b, 3 OF's) + DH = 9
5 bench players ($5 or greater total)
3 starters
3 relievers (Closer is required)
20 total players

Salary cap of $100 (this can be adjusted just throwing it out there)

Players first season has to be in 1900 and no later than 2010.

Babe Ruth is $25. $1 per all-star appearance, no all star games are free (limited to 1 total).

I like your idea of starting bench players in your defensive lineup too.

I like mine a little more. 100 not enough either IMO, but I'm easy lol

If we're going to do a cap draft with baseball, I think players who started before the ASG was fully in tact (30s or so) should just be ineligible.

That's why I added HOF $25 each, that covers the old guys
