Red Sox acquired 2B Ian Kinsler and cash considerations from the Angels for LHP Williams Jerez and RHP Ty Buttrey.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic was first to report the deal and says the Halos will cover half of the $3.6 million Kinsler is still owed this season. Kinsler has not had a good season with the bat in Anaheim with a .239/.304/.406 line, 13 home runs and nine stolen bases. However, he still rates well defensively at second base, offering the Red Sox protection at the position with Dustin Pedroia's (knee) status up in the air.

According to Jon Heyman of FanCred Sports, the Braves have reached a deal with the Orioles for right-hander Kevin Gausman.

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that Tyler Glasnow, Austin Meadows, and a third piece are headed back to the Rays.
