Multiple reports say that pitcher Chase DeJong and infield prospect Ryan Costello are headed to the Twins in the deal. Duke holds a 3.62 ERA and 39/15 K/BB ratio over 37 1/3 innings this season and has held left-handed batters to a .237/.274/.288 line. He should be a solid specialist in Seattle

Rangers acquired LHP Taylor Hearn and a player to be named later from the Pirates for RHP Keone Kela.

Ranked by MLB.com as the team's No. 7 prospect, Hearn holds a 3.12 ERA and 107/38 K/BB ratio over 104 innings at the Double-A level this season. He has a big left-handed arm capable of getting swings and misses but needs to improve his control or he might wind up in the bullpen.

Red Sox acquired 2B Ian Kinsler and cash considerations from the Angels for LHP Williams Jerez and RHP Ty Buttrey.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic was first to report the deal and says the Halos will cover half of the $3.6 million Kinsler is still owed this season. Kinsler has not had a good season with the bat in Anaheim with a .239/.304/.406 line, 13 home runs and nine stolen bases. However, he still rates well defensively at second base, offering the Red Sox protection at the position with Dustin Pedroia's (knee) status up in the air.

The Tigers are set to receive shortstop prospect Willi Castro in return. Meanwhile, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press hears that right-hander Kyle Dowdy is also headed to the Indians. Martin addresses an area of need in center field for Cleveland. The 30-year-old has enjoyed a solid all-around season, batting .251/.321/.409 with nine homers and seven steals over 78 games. He's arbitration-eligible this winter.
