Ya funding be a drop in the bucket.

2 challenges per team, you keep em if you get it right. You cant argue a play and then challenge it.. thats kinda weird, I guess to keep the game moving/embarrassing umps.

Imo its worth it just to get rid of the 'in the area' outs that have been given at 2nd base all these years.

Do you think they're going to get rid of it entirely ? I guess they almost have to if they're going to make all safe/out calls challengeable. I'd rather leave this one up to the judgement of the umps and let them decide which are the most egregious examples.

I'm sure they'll have a list of acceptabe plays to challenge. The 'close enough' DP turn shouldn't be affected. It'll likely be for the fail/foul calls - homeruns, trap/catches, close plays at the plate.

It'll be tough to call coninuation plays (or anything without a dead ball). They may need to have written rules as to where runners should be placed in certain situations....

Won't happen. Sports are leaning towards more safety not less, and the "neighborhood" call is in place to protect shortstops. That's why it's accepted.

Seems legit. Now all we need is a pitch clock and things are perfect

actually completely agree but would have to also have the Nomar clock next to it to cover both sides.
