Ya funding be a drop in the bucket.
2 challenges per team, you keep em if you get it right. You cant argue a play and then challenge it.. thats kinda weird, I guess to keep the game moving/embarrassing umps.
Imo its worth it just to get rid of the 'in the area' outs that have been given at 2nd base all these years.
Do you think they're going to get rid of it entirely ? I guess they almost have to if they're going to make all safe/out calls challengeable. I'd rather leave this one up to the judgement of the umps and let them decide which are the most egregious examples.
Won't happen. Sports are leaning towards more safety not less, and the "neighborhood" call is in place to protect shortstops. That's why it's accepted.Ya funding be a drop in the bucket.
