Good to see Napier turn into a serviceable NBA player - a guy the Heat gave up on when they allowed themselves to get played by Queen James

And with that, the Heat are done for the night.

I wonder if Riley will penalize Spo for his on-court antics like they did to Waiters -- if not the league. Whether or not he has a point to complain - its just too much. The refs did a good job of composing themselves and not giving him a technical foul or ejection, as he deserved.

A total collapse in the final 4 minutes. As well, Minnesota had a couple guys get hot at the end - while the Heat had too many guys go cold -- and they just didn't dip into their bench enough at the end.

They will have to bounce back on Tuesday night.

On to the next one.

The Heat will at least be at full strength, if not closer to it on Tuesday night. On the down side, we will be losing some guys to the G-League(the teams two two-way players) - for now - it seems only Daryl Macon will be going to Sioux Falls. Chris Silva will stay for the time being.

The youngsters brought an energy we have not seen down here in a long time. Lets see if the veterans will be able to match it when they return.

The Heat continue to absolutely botch this whole situation with Waiters. First, they suspend a guy who is upset over PT. Rather than appreciate the passion for wanting to play(especially off an injury riddled season +). Now, the suspension is lifted and the guy can't even participate in shootaround. Next, it will be that he is not ready due to "conditioning". It is always going to be something over absolutely NOTHING.

Back to the game tonight - Jimmy Butler is slated to started according to the game notes - Tyler Herro to the bench - which I think will be helpful to him and the team in this early part of his career.

If Meyers Leonard has done something consistently well so far -- its been rebounding.

Respectable FT attempts-to-3pt attempt ratio so far for the Heat - the turnovers continue to be a problem, though. They must fix this soon.

Good to see one of them back - especially considering DJ Jr and Okapala wont be around to provide depth. That said, I am still bothered by all this crap - I find it interesting, to say the least - that James Johnson met requirements before Waiters did.

But it is what it is. Hopefully the Heat will stop holding Waiters back for no reason soon enough.

Well Waiters was obviously in shape as he was allowed in training camp and played in I believe 3 of the 5 preseason games. My only guess is he fell below the requirements while being away from the team for about two weeks and/or they just want his conditioning to improve since he last played/practice with the team nearly two weeks ago.

I caught some of the Heat game last night. In the 2nd quarter seems like the announcers mentioned Tyler Herro about 2 dozen times. He had a hellva game though. Did he outscore the Hawks by himself in the 2nd quarter?

With pre-season pick for R.O.Y., Zion Williamson out 6-8 weeks to start the season, Kendrick Nunn is the favorite to win the award. Obviously, it is to be taken with a grain of salt with the small sample size of games played. But it is noteworthy and encouraging that people are paying attention. It is also helpful that the team is off to a good start to support the recognition he is getting.

Again, still early - but the Heat should have a rep or two in the Rising Stars Challenge in this seasons AS weekend.

At 24-years old, he is not the typical rookie(age-wise).

Tyler Herro making some noise as well, of course.
