The Smiths are both adults , Zach got what he deserved and hopefully received further punishment for what he did..In regards to Meyers we only know what the media is feeding us. We do not know the entire nature of the Smiths relationship.in regards to Meyers. I also wouldn’t discount that Meyers didn’t know the complete nature of their relationship.Which seems to have been very chaotic based on the back and forth reports. We also do not know Meyers didn’t follow proper protocol. What happened when he did report the incidents if so. Whether this is a media payday where adding Meyers name increased the value of the story. If there’s something of actual substance to it....It’s easy for anyone to form an opinion and play jury based on speculation.But it requires a legitimate investigation and actual facts actual substantial facts. To determine Meyers actual role in this situation. At this moment I can’t justify Meyers losing his job without that. Unless an investigation proves otherwise.

Of course every college football analyst is saying what they think will or should happen. It's their job. He's also the former coach of Florida with all that went down there and must I add the Aaron Hernandez history. So stop with the notion that he's being unjustly covered. He got tons of praise for winning and I'm sure no one complained about that.
Again. I agree this needs to be investigated. But we know a few things that apologists seem to brush off. The guy had a cloud of abusive behavior back when he was in Florida and crazy shit between him and his wife followed him to Ohio State. So in 2015 when this pops up big time with the texts and the photos and the wife telling Urbans wife what she told her and he doesn't get fired till 2018? Again if it's a fire able offense now why wasn't it a fire able offense then?
It looks like right now both Urban and the school AD know they look pretty bad and both are trying to cover their asses. Urban says he followed protocol which puts the ball in the AD court but even if the AD didn't do anything Urban knew the details and kept him on . Someone who most likely beat his pregnant wife. He didn't need an OK from the pope to let the guy go . Instead he kept him on board and lied to three separate sets of journalists doing thier job asking him questions. And 5 hours after he said he didn't know anything Smith was fired. And you don't think their nothing shady there? That it's "the Media" .

I just showed you how easy it is to change the context of dupe a text exchange to suit a purpose . I think it’s common sense McMurohy gets a bigger pay day with Meyers name attached.You’re citing the media yourself when in truth no one has anything of substance to report. Other than speculation. He worked very hard on breaking this story. Despite Urban denying things and road blocks, he went after it and proved he was right to begin with. Now we have Urban entirely admitting he lied and the story was correct.

There really is no way McMurphy had any involvement in any way or any knowledge of any type of doctoring or creating of fake or modified texts. That's entirely ludicrous. To expect him to entirely throw away his career? For what again?

Think he was pretty clear that it was simply what the victim sent him. IF there was any fake or doctoring going on it is purely on HER end.

We don't know what Shelly Meyer was told. We do know the police didn't press charges. There was nothing to fire him for in 2015. But in 2018 he was arrested for breaking an order of protection.

Valid points, and I see why you started another thread. First let me preface it by saying I hate ohio state and Urban Meyer. Also, the only reason I even care about this story is that Michigan has not beaten ohio state with Urban Meyer as head coach. I want that to happen!!!

The only acceptable answer of how Urban Meyer is being treated is he has either directly or indirectly influenced the legal system or the victim not to press charges. I have no knowledge that this has happened, other than that this is a police matter. Prove it or bring Urban Meyer back.

Great post, but I disagree with it.

If Meyer does get fired here, it will be because it was proven that he had a guy on his staff that was abusing his wife and he knew about it and turned a blind eye...not because of some faux public outrage.

If they did fire him over he said she said, Meyer would have every right to sue them for the remainder of his contract. OSU has deep pockets, but not many schools can afford to cut a $30 mil check for a fired HC due to public outcry, faux or otherwise.

On that end, if they have a smoking gun, he will get fired. If they don't he'll get a suspension for a few games and hope this goes away.

Ok a lot of the shit you are spewing had nothing to do with Meyer and Florduh has nothing to do with this. This specific incident he reported in 2009 and he also reported in 2015 (2015 is according to him, Zach and the AD). But Courtney keeps saying he did nothing to try to help her (shouldnt be his fault anyway since the Police didnt even charge Smith with anyting). YOU always report protocol to the AD, Zach was not charged with anything. Urban told Zach if we hear another peep out of this again you are fired, he did recently and he was fired. You are only hearing some of the story and passing judgment, we hsve seen in so many other cases that people do the same thing and are wrong. The media is a dangerous thing, they can literally put this story out the way they want to help their ratings/pull people in. Like Devil said let it all play out, bc you dont know everything.
