43 points. 43.

If I'm the coach, Kamara doesn't see the field in any 4th quarter where we're up by three scores. Imagine him getting hurt on an irrelevant play.

This debate is silly. Mark Ingram is not Chris Ivory.

But if he tried hard, he could be ;)

I want to interrupt this Kamara/Ingram discussion to ask a favor of the KOTF.

Need help at RB this week. Demaryius, Stills, Lockett, Mack and Ballage up for grabs. Not expecting much, but one of them will be cut for WW plugin. So just throwing that out there.

Snaps, or touches?
I don't have the numbers available but remember reading that Kamara out-touched Ingram the last 5 games if 2017.
Kamara out touched him two of the last five.

Snaps was what I was wondering. I didn't want to dig. Lol

just a heads up here for all MBBRL leagues - I'm transitioning to a new role (yay, finally got that promotion I've been working on for the last 2yrs!!!) and will be moving to Nashville

life is gonna be crazy busy for me until about next APR/MAY-ish, working some days in TN, some days back in St Louis, until I fully move with my family to Nashville.

will still be around and try to get back to anyone on any trade offers, but just wanted to put out a small disclaimer if you ever notice that I'm not making waiver claims or actively working FA pool in barbarians

it's been a cluster just keeping up with my money leagues the past 2 wks (forgot to make ANY waiver claims in any league last night, oops!!)

even though they typically aren't as competitive, they still take precedence over my free leagues

LOL

As i said before, Ingram will likely get slightly more carries than Kamara while Kamara get more passes thrown his way. They will likely get close to the same amount of as snaps

Saints would have found away to get rid of Ingram in the offseason if they wanted Ingram to be completely irrelevant and treat him like some shitty back which is pretty clear that's what most of you think of him.

Becoming more and more clear that most on here want a guy who avg 5 yards per carry the last 2 years to all of sudden get less than 10 carries per game. Sorry to break it to everyone on here but that was never going to happen

I don't think anybody on here thought of it as a punishment to Ingram but more a rewarding for Kamara. I know that I drafted him in the first round because I did not anticipate the Saints keeping the amount of touches what they were last year, because otherwise he wasn't worth a first round pick. I thought that if he got off to a hot start he would steal touches from Ingram and it would be more like Ingram 55-45 in the running game and Kamara 70-30 in the passing game, which would end up about an even split. The shocking part the other night was not that Ingram got more touches, there will be games when they have a lead that's going to happen, but it was the huge discrepancy of 67-33 for Ingram. I actually thought that they would both be on the field a good bit together and just split Kamara out as a wide receiver. So I think what you're saying is that I shouldn't have drafted Kamara in the first round, because there was no chance that New Orleans was going to give him extra touches once Ingram came back. If he averages the same amount of touches as last year the rest of the season (about 12.5 per game), there's no way he should have been a first round pick, probably late-2nd at best and that's with factoring in the first four weeks that it was just him.

I think anyone who drafted him high round 1 made an assumption. That assumption had not been verified yet, it was a gamble. But many thought his touches were a foregone conclusion. They still may be right but they very well could be wrong. Early reports aren’t good but let’s see. But I do feel it was a big gamble , it’s why I stayed away.

I will say this 1 more time. This is not about Kamara sitting in the 4th quarter. It is not about Mark Ingram. He is a fine RB. This is about Alvin Kamara who is a great player.

If the Saints plan is to "split touches evenly" between a good player and an elite game changing talent, then they are doing it wrong. Period. It is really quite simple.

Sterling Shepard is a good wide receiver. Maybe the Giants should evenly split the targets/opportunities between him and Beckham.

Take away a one in a thousand play by Diggs in the playoffs, and the Saints might have spoiled the Foles show.

think I think they know what they're doing. Kamara already has half the carries he did all of last season.

Shepard can't tie Ingram's cleats. WR and RB are completely different entities on the field.

It's almost like we're not talking about two top five fantasy studs from 2017 and the best offense for the last 12 years.

Yeah that comparison was horrible and as you states WR and RB are diferent entities on field. Most teams are out with at least 2 WR on every snap.

Just hilarious man. I had no ingram was all of sudden a bad back

435 carries, 2100 yards, 100 catches, 700 yards and 18 touchdowns in two years.

Trade him and go with Kamara or continue with the best offense...but don't just shun one to the side. Kamara's shunning this week was more timingbthan anything imo.

I love what Kamara brings but let's stop acting like he's been some dominant running back.

Take away the Giants game and he has 165 yards on 43 carries this season. That's not good

How dare the Saints want to give Ingram the same # of carries he got last year

which brings me back to his efficiency this year........
