People are rightly concerned with Kamara's touches and usage.

Ingram is a good back. But Kamara is elite. He is LeVeon Bell.

This situation would be exactly the same as if Conner gets twice as many touches as Bell once he returns. My guess is that Tomlin is not stupid enough to do that.

At the very least, Kamara should be on the field for ALL obvious passing downs. He wasn't last night.

Game flow and pre bye week was huge in this one.

We're talking about two top five fantasy backs last year. "ALL" has got nothing to do with it. This is a tandem. The best tandem in the league.

I don't know why you're harping on us about this. The Saints have had no problem at all thinking Ingram is a bum in years' past when they shouldn't have. There have been several instances in the last couple of years that he and Payton have had issues with each other and now all of the sudden they roll out the red carpet for him. I get Ingram being on the field for short yardage situations and for even an every 3rd series type thing, but Kamara is clearly better at football than Ingram is at this point in their careers. I guess we'll see what happens in week 7 when they play Baltimore. We'll see if they give Ingram his 20 carries that he can turn into 45 yards or do something that actually makes sense in that game.

I'm sure the Saints have had tougher practices. What they "needed" was irrelevant on Monday night.

Payton main problem with Ingram in the past was fumbles. I don't think any Saints fans had a problem with Ingram running ability after his first 2 years. Him bumping heads with SP doesn't make him a bad player or doesn't mean they should just give up on him

Turning Ingram into a short yardage and 3rd back only is beyond stupid.

Kamara is better than him....But Ingram is still a damn good back and would start on more than half of the teams in the league

Ingram fumbled early last night. Yet he still saw more snaps and had twice as many touches.

And I am not suggesting Ingram should be a 3rd down back. That should Defintely be Kamara.

Play Kamara on all obvious passing downs. Give Ingram short yardage since he is the between the tackles guy. Split the rest 65-35 in Kamara's favor.

THis isn't about Ingram. He is good. Kamara is clearly and obviously better though. Easily among the top 5 RBs in the entire league, and arguably top 2 or 3.

yeah....this is not happening. They're not going to insist on feeding Ingram the ball if he is avg 2 yards per carry.

You guys are really on here acting like Ingram played bad last night.

If I didn't watch the game last night or had access to internet, I would legit think Ingram avg less than 2 yards per carry last night.

You do realize that he had 16 carries for 53 yards (3.3 yards per carry) which sucks royal ass right?

And he's a little smaller. Protect your asset when he wasn't 100% going in, they're up a ton, Ingrahm needing to wet his feet...etc.

Not a single person who watched the game last night would think Ingram was bad....but yeah let's give Kamara 30 plus touches on a week where he was obviously banged up lol totally makes sense

Yea - so let's put him in to return punts - - that makes tons of sense for someone banged up. .... if they truly wanted to 'protect' him - then just make him inactive. ...

Alright enough of this damn Alvin Kamara talk, let's see some standings.

WEEK 5 STANDINGS

MBBRL_WEEK_5.jpg

So the A league extended their points lead to 146.8 over the B league and there are only 2 teams with less than 500 points in the A league while there's 6 of them in the B league. Tlance won the battle over Sam this week, but Sam won the war as he took over the breakdown lead by just half a game over Tlance and by 1 1/2 games over Steelers. All three 4-1 teams in the A league are in the Aramis division.

In the B league I would say that parity should be the name of the league. 11 of the 12 teams are either 3-2 or 2-3 and the only guy not playing with the rest of us is Trudem who is 5-0, has a perfect power rating, and already has a three game lead in his division. What an asshole!! Pretty impressive that nobody is worse than one game under .500 after five weeks. Trudem now has a 7 game lead over EHB for the breakdown title as EHB had an off week. Just a quick note here, Bandit was 11-0 in breakdown and I just wanted to mention it. LOL.

Oh yes and on a different note, just so you guys can see how crazy the scoring has been this year, I'm going to post the same chart from week 5 of last year. Now keep in mind that there have been absolutely no scoring changes in these leagues at all but the difference is freaking crazy:

Not so much protect, but settle. He had some shots in the red zone, if he converted to a TD, are we dissecting this much?

I don't expect to see much work for Kamara when the Saints are up by three touchdowns. If he isn't a part of the early TD's, days like this will happen.

They aren't gonna blow everyone out.

Antonio Brown returns punts.

@SmokingMonkey , offer sent, expires some time late this morning evening..if I can't get a deal done, I may have to make a claim, then I won't want a deal :)

couldn't add any notes thru the app, but I have a mini jam at WR, and that one has been disappointing me in other leagues too much lately

And the Saints won easily lol.

He got more touches but they were on the field for about the same amount of plays.

Ingram is a top 15 back in the league and is also a pretty good receiving back as well. Acting like he doesn't have any business on passing downs is crazy. He is avg over 50 catches over the last 3 seasons. I'm sure the split will be closer in their next time

You guys are on here acting like Ingram is some bum lol. I'm convinced you guys don't think Ingram should get more than 5 touches per game at this rate. The guy has avg 5 yards per carry the last 2 seasons but the Saints supposed to act like he doesn't exist because Kamara is great?
It's a crazy talented offense.

And one I assume Ingram will lead in carries the rest of the season. Kamara made him better last season. No reason for that to change now. Other than that BYU kid is clearly going to take touches from both, and Brees.

Kamara and Ingram will both have huge games and pedestrian ones. Wouldn't doubt that both get scratched at some point when they might normally grit thru. Because they have that luxury.
