which brings me back to his efficiency this year........

Yep. I have no problem with Kamara but this isn't close to 1 back team. Never been with this coach anyway and won't be now when you have 2 damn good backs.

As a Saints fan, I would like for the Ingram/Kamara #'s to look like this roughly.

Ingram gets 13-16 carries and 1-3 passes thrown his way.

Kamara gets 10-12 carries and 7-9 passes thrown his way.

Do that and it is close to 20 touches for both

1) I never once said or implied this should be a 1 back team. Please read my posts.
2) I never once said Ingram isn't good. In fact, I have said multiple times that he is good.

If Kamara averages 18-20 touches the rest of the year, then fine. If he is getting 8-12 while Ingram gets 15-20, then no bueno. And I would bet if that is the way they roll, the Saints will lose games because of it.

i dunno, but even alot of experts pre season had kamara top 10

He was the 5th ranked RB on almost every list I saw. Even before the Ingram suspension. Because his usage trended up at the end of the season and the assumption was that Kamara would get more work than Ingram this year. Not because Ingram is bad, but because Kamara is that good.

Won't be good enough for some on here though.

Sounds like they want 30+ touches for Kamara and fewer than 10 for Ingram

No. You keep putting words in my mouth. Never said anything close to that.

A 60-40 split in Kamara's favor would be fine. Yesterday was 66-33 in Ingram's. And Kamara was on punt returns, which I have seen from WRs, but never from a starting RB. At least not in the last 20 years.

Hard to see kamara only getting 8-12 touches most of the season from this point on

Settle down lol. You're not the only person on the opposite side of me in this debate. I read a comment where it was said ingram should be used as only a 3rd down back and the short yardage back (not from you) but that would amount to fewer than 10 touches per game for him

I agree.

But I also never in a million years imagined Ingram would out snap him and out touch him 18-9 in his first game back. That is why people at upset. And again, it has nothing to do with Ingram not being good.

60-40 Kamara in tight games.
60-40 Ingram in blowouts.

Without taking matchups into effect.

Seems about right to me.

Sure.

Except that Ingram out touched Kamara like 12-5 in the first half while the game was still close.

I may have missed it, but I don't think anybody said that. Because honestly it doesn't even make sense considering the skill sets of the two.

I said Ingram should be short yardage, Kamara should be the passing down back and Kamara should get about 60% of the rest because he is the more dynamic player.

Eh.

Kamara proved he can do it. Both with and without Ingram. Ball just flat out sucked all on his own.

I'll be surprised if Kamara out touches him more than couple times tbh.

Hes had 20+Touches three times since HS.

They may. And I can't see how.

But also, I have a close friend who is a Saints insider and there is a lot of discord in the front office. They completely went away from the blueprint that landed them such an amazing draft class last season, mostly because Jeff Ireland was less involved in personnel decisions.
