As long as you dress in an Avs sweater and not some transported Nordique sweater or I may have to find a rather strange and unique use of a tennis racquet

What do I do with my Peter Stasny jersey now?

@obxyankeefan @Barilko
Ironic that you both picked teams that Eric Lindros will be forever associated with.

One of two NHLers I got to play against in my youth. Scott LaChance was the other one.
 Cool!
Closest I got to skating with a real NHLer was when I skated on the same ice as Al Secord in the twilight of his career.
And no - we were not on the ice together. Hours apart.

Lions are falling apart here.

LaChance was from Richmond, so we would play each other quite often. I was a 1 or 2 years older than him, but the youth hockey scene in Virginia in the 70s had us all playing the same level. I played in a youth hockey tournament in Pennsylvania around 1981 that had Lindros on one of the opposing teams.

I have played against or with 7 players that made the pros in different sports, but the two biggest names ( Lindros and David Robinson) someone had to point it out to me years later. I don't remember Lindros in that tournament.

I never really got to play with any of these guys but as a DU booster I got to skate with a number of NHL players from the DU program including Carle, Stasny, and Zucker.

Lindros. Is certainly one of the greatest centres to ever play
Man the concussions and his dad really hindered him
He was simply a dominating force

Like I said it was a youth hockey tournament and we were both young enough that I didn't remember until years later when my dad said something about him being in the tournament. As far as my skills, I was a big fish in a little pond playing in the late 70s early 80s in Virginia. If I had been raised somewhere like Michigan I figure I would have been an average player.

I just looked him up. The tournament would have been 1980 or 1981 so Lindros would have only been 7 or 8 and I would have been 10 or 11. I tore my ankles up in 1982 and have only played a few times since then.

Then you may have to play Joe the king of average

I nominate @leftypower
Makes sense. It's actually probably maybe might be on his bucket list.

The 2 pro Lefty posts get "Winner" ratings from Joe....................glad I was able to come home early today and see this before Lefty, I mean the Commish did..............

Thanks for the nomination guys but Nope - not interested. ...

Congratulations @averagejoe! You were always my first choice anyway!

@Sam Sportboy - damn, didn't take long for our 'love affair to end'. ... :pound: :suds:
