Hi, guys. I'll be happy to re-activate the Suicide League. Tlance I think has commish privileges, but I can reassign.

Barilko has been requesting a spot there for a while now.

Very happy to see Duff resurface.

Wow! Wil! You didn't want to invest a lot of time this season, and I don't want to try to convince you otherwise, but the Suicide League rates very low-impact on the "time" meter. In case you want to remain in that, Wil. We'd love to have you!

If not, I guess we have to decide on a 12th man. Some names that have come up (in no particular order) are Foot, Chef, Barilko, and JDM.

Holy crap. . Its like Bloody Mary, Candyman, and Biggie Smalls all in one, only better! We said his name enough that he appears!
You're still da man Will!

As for the commish deal, I appreciate the votes of confidence, but you'll understand if I'm apprehensive, those are some monster shoes to fill, even with delegating everything else. Tlance, you just let me know if you still aren't up for it and I guess we'll try and get rolling on the suicide league.

I'd be more than willing to throw my hat in the rink for that last spot but i would have no problem if Chef, Barilko, or JDM was selected for it. Thanks Sam!

Since the 2013 Suicide draft was held about 2 weeks after the NFL draft, if we apply that same timeline to this year, then we should target next Friday May 23rd. Thoughts?

He transferred commish powers to me, but I am not sure if I am able to now transfer them to someone else.

Sounds good with me. The great one just assigned the commish for the suicide.. so guess I'd better kick it in the arse!

I've sent an email to all existing owners. Can't actually send an "invite" since everyone has already joined.
Before we get to excited we'd better make sure who's in and who's out for this year. We think there's 11 and 1 opening, but there could be more. So keep the nominations coming.

Would another slow, SportsHoopla draft be preferable/acceptable to everyone? Or should we actually set a date and do it all at once?

If we were to do it via ESPN, the maximum draft time is only 2 minutes. I, for one, need more time than that. So I vote that on draft day, we start a new thread and do it here on SportsHoopla.

My vote as well.. and yes absolutely. . New suicide league thread, and Draft thread I think.

Another option:

We can do the draft on couchmanagers.com

They do year round mocks, but we could then import the picks to ESPN. Using their site allows us to avoid the clunkiness of the SportsHoopla thread, plus their queue options are really sweet. You can set your queue to make 1 or 2 picks without keeping you on auto draft to make any unwanted picks. We could still do 24 hour picks, but these options allow the draft to flow much better.

Just out of curiosity, by import do you mean there's some tool to do it or you have to hand copy it?

Sounds like a good option to me. .probably the only problem I had with the Draft last year was losing track of who had been drafted and having to copy that dang list every page

That seems pretty hard on a new commissioner, too. Even with a thread an organized place to hold it seems helpful.

Lol, well, I might be this league's new one, but it's far from my first rodeo. :)

Looks like I keep some pretty interesting company.
