Gabe should act quickly next time when he lets Arietta remain in the game and then proceeds to give up a few hits. He already had 85 pitches or so thru five.

Then, It’s very scary when a 10-5 lead does not mean the game is in the bag. De Los Santos and Dominguez each gave up two ER In the 7th and 8th. Fortunately the Phils power hitting parade made up for poor pitching.

If Pivetta can come back and perform like Eflin, improve like Velasquez and Eickhof, then, as the more experienced Nola and Arietta get more consistent, the Phils will be on their way. There’s gotta be four solid starters and a long reliever in there somewhere. That’s how I see this going. Give it some time. My money’s on it.

Damn, I haven’t the word Dildoes in some time. I don’t think we’re back there yet. I may use it tomorrow if Nola goes full retard and we get less than 8 hits.
