Non issue. If you're an average football player you take the extra classes and every course available that you can get with your scholarship.
If you're Marriota, football is how you will make your fortune and it's smart of him to focus on football. If for what ever reason he wants to go to grad school he can go back when he's done in the NFL.

A lot of players due this after graduation, hell UW had an OT that was Pro Bowler that took, "basket weaving" I wonder if he still does it in between his gig with Fox Sports????

Not sure why this would be an issue. It's like I told my kids when they started high school, if you want to have an fairly easy, stress free senior year, then work hard for the first 3 years so that you can load up on easy classes in your senior year.


Both followed that advice and thanked me as they were watching their friends struggle, stress out and complain about their "senioritis".


Looks to me like Mariota did exactly that. Good for him.
