Mariners at 37-36 vs. the Royals at 39-33. Some pretty solid pitching matchups this series.

Why is it that when the Mariners somehow manage to score a decent amount of runs, we give up just as many if not more?

Close play there. Lol @ Simms calling Logan Morrison "Rodney"... Because they look so similar...

Hopefully the losing streak is over and we can once again attempt to dig ourselves out from that mess.

Interesting game tonight. But nice job doing what it took to win in the 8th and 9th.

Brad Miller had another good game today.

He is hitting .293 in June with 3 HRs 8 RBIs. Looks like he has finally got it back together.

Just when you think you know whats going on, they beat up a pretty good starter and one of the best closers in baseball. Bipolar baseball at its finest.

But I agree great win. If they can find a way to win one of the next two that would be awesome.

Two great wins, but we would be blowing teams out by 3 runs (blow out in Mariners world) if we had 2 more legit bats.

Now that Jones has been around awhile and continues to hover around .280's, I think he needs to take it to the next level soon and start driving the ball more for doubles and triples instead of numerous dribblers to the right side. We all get so happy just seeing a guy hit above .200 we get giddy, but he has so much more room to grow and I hope the Mariners don't get satisfied with what he is giving them. He doesn't need homers, just balls to the gap more often.

I'm not sure we are going to see much power from James Jones. He showed some flashes of being able to go deep in A ball, but not at the upper levels. I'd say they should focus on something more practical like raising his OBP. Jones has been valuable so far and in his 47 games is one of the few players we have starting that looks like he belongs as a major league starter. He reminds me of sort of a Michael Bourn type player, which is something the Mariners could really use.

Any extra base hits that Jones gets are probably going to come from him stretching singles into doubles, or doubles into triples.

Yordano Ventura sure has some good stuff. Just blew a 100 MPH fastball past Robinson Cano. With all the young players throwing that hard who go down with injuries, you've got to be careful with him.

Great job by the Mariners to sweep one of the hottest teams in baseball.

Unfortunately now we have to go back to Safeco.

23-16 on the road and 17-20 at home... That isn't right!

All I need is for the USA to beat Portugal and this might be a perfect Sunday.
