The two game series between the Mariners (21-22) and Rangers (21-23) could see the Mariners climb back to .500. Hisashi Iwakuma will go into the first game of the series having pitched 16 consecutive scoreless innings.

Probable pitchers:

Tuesday, May 20th:
Hisashi Iwakuma (1.59 ERA 22.2 IP) vs. Colby Lewis (4.99 ERA 30.2 IP)

Wednesday, May 21st:
Chris Young (3.22 ERA 44.2 IP) vs. Nick Tepesch (1.69 ERA 5.1 IP)

I did see the comeback we had soon after Beltre's homer. Currently sitting on a 6-2 lead in the 8th.

Don't let up, guys.

Iwakuma = 2ER over 8 IP. Money.

Always great to get a win against Texas.

Man Kuma is 3-0 with 1.76 ERA. Should be 4-0 if Rodney didnt blow his other start. None the less I dont think I have fully appreciated how good he has become. Its awesome to have him back at the top of the rotation.

He is playing Cy Young caliber baseball right now. His first start back was a bit rocky, but since then he has given up 2 ER in his last 24 IP (ERA of 0.75 over his past 3 starts).

IMO Iwakuma is the most underrated pitcher in baseball, and is one of (if not the best) acquisition that Jack Z has made during his tenure as Mariners GM. I really, really, hope that we don't let him walk in free agency. I wish the Mariners would have given him a longer contract.

In his 52 MLB starts, he has a 2.59 ERA. Not including today's win.

I missed the game, but from the box score it looks like Franklin had a nice return. 2 for 3 a run scored, 1 RBI, and a stolen base. It would really rock to see him find any kind of rhythm at the plate.

Mariner making another half-assed right hander look like Greg Maddux. Cy Tepeche Mode mowing down the Mariner hitters. One base runner who was immediately erased via double play.

Yep. My thread intimidated and embarrassed him. I knew reverse psychology would work.
