I always knew he had a special place in his heart for OU.

After all he was an offensive coordinator under the King.

What is it with Texas greatest coaches coming from OU? DKR, Mack.

I guess since Charlie never coached or played at OU he won't be one of their greats.

I'm sure he'd hate if Strong went out and won big in his first year. Surprised he picked OU though, he knows 1st hand how bad that team is.

I'm sure he picked OU without an ounce of bitterness in his heart towards his former bosses...

Mack, unlike you, Coach Strong will not piss his pants when he sees Stoops on the other sideline.

For the record, Mack coached at OU for 1 year. He's said several times his mentor is Bobby Bowden. Calm down guy.....

It's almost like Mack Brown was asked to give an unbiased opinion or something...

Mack's calling it as he sees it. Anybody remember when everyone was picking USC to roll over Texas in the NC game? Barry Switzer was interviewed before the kickoff on national television and he was adamant that Texas would win because of their big play potential at QB. These coaches aren't always total dummies.

Agreed but if he picked Baylor you would all be calling him dumb.

This is MB. He's the passive aggressive master. His number one priority, always has been, is controlling what others think about him. He didn't get that upset when UT got beat by someone, just made sure that winning coach/team was seen as super good, and that anyone would have a hard time beating them, so it's okay that he lost.

Plus, OU is the safe pick. He also picked SouthCarolina to win SEC. You know why? Because there is no way in hell he'll pick Saban and Alabama.

FYI, go follow MB on twitter. Now, I like the guy, like that he brought UT out of a 15 year suckage hole, but he never has an original thought. His twitter feed is gold.
