I don't see the Big 12 going anywhere for now. They keep all 8 members intact and add UCF and Cincy.
Do you think some strong independents like Liberty or BYU would get an invite?

BYU? Maybe
Liberty? Not a chance
Yeah, Liberty is too new. I thought maybe with Hugh Freeze bringing in more big names, they might start gaining some attention from bigger conferences. They have a solid team this year, and added some nice transfers. I think one transfer was ranked near the top 100 players of his recruiting class.

The problem is that without Oklahoma & Texas to prop them up, the Big 12 loses roughly 50% of their value to the networks. That makes it more likely from them to get raided, either by the Pac-12, the AAC, or both.I don't see the Big 12 going anywhere for now. They keep all 8 members intact and add UCF and Cincy.
They're above the Sun Belt. They would be an excellent choice for C-USAI'm sure Liberty will have some success in comparison to other G5's. But they are a better fit for the Sun Belt than the Big 12. They rarely draw more than 20K people for their games. That's closer to FCS level than P5 level.

You are definitely wrong about the PAC not picking up any teams. This is their Segway into Texas. Just watch. OSU and Tech are practically locks.I understand they're going to have a revenue drop, that's not a question. But the PAC 12 isn't picking up any of the remaining teams, neither will the Big Ten or ACC.
Even when they lose 50% of their value, their TV payout is still above the AAC so a move to the AAC doesn't make sense unless they start losing more teams.

Just watchI'm 99% sure the PAC won't be adding anyone. It's true, that if they were to expand, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State would be the top targets. But from what I've heard, it's very unlikely the PAC expands.
Just watch
Thought I read Kansas is in deep discussion to join the Big 10I wouldn't mind them joining, I'm just telling you that there's no movement towards that. There's a reason ESPN had to push the AAC to raid the Big 12. It's because they know the PAC/B1G/ACC won't.
He’s not close to being right. No nothing is going to happen right now but the PAC and big will both take teams in the end.Thought I read Kansas is in deep discussion to join the Big 10
I agree. Don’t know if PAC will bring in Baylor & TCU. But definitely Tech & Okie Jr. if they took all 4, the PAC goes to the forefront in hoops. Especially coming off the PACs performance after last year’s tournament. He’s not close to being right. No nothing is going to happen right now but the PAC and big will both take teams in the end.

Thats what Kansas is hoping for. I don’t see it happening unless the Big Ten gets a big fish like ND and needs another team to round things out

Lmao wtf would OU fans care? Trust me we don’t. You are being a fool for ignoring the fact that this will end up as 4 super conferences.Oh I’ve read the Twitter rumors and I’m sure Texas and OU fans are hoping it happens. It just makes no sense for the Big Ten to expand to bring in Kansas
