I have followed the NBA and Lakers since 1970. I saw most of Kareems career, all of Magic's, all of MJ's, all of Lebrons and all of just about anyone else that has been in the GOAT discussion except for Bill Russell.

The convo used to be MJ, Kareem and Magic...it is now MJ, Kareem and Lebron. No one else has a case.

So what are your criteria for selection? "My opinion"?

How then is Russell not on your list? He dominates in rings, MVPs, and accolades. And Jordan was only at the top of the league for a very short period, relative to the others, and some not listed, like Chamberlain, who dominates all in statistics. You listed "stats" first, is that the most important? If so, Chamberlain has to be on your list.

Your criteria are a little bit broken with respect to Mikan, as well. MVP did not exist yet, or he's surely have a handful. Handfuls of titles and "stats" and accolades, too. Was on top of the league as long as Jordan was. Why is Mikan not in this cohort?

Where is the line between Jordan and Johnson, exactly? Johnson was on top of the league for almost twice as long, and was miles better in college. In fact, all of these guys were much better than Jordan in college, who was an embarrassing choke artist save exactly one jump shot.

I doubt it, but hopefully you can glimpse the point. Without ordering and weighting your alleged criteria, all you are saying is "I like this guy and not that guy." And that's an opinion, not a fact.

He was found guilty - and he admitted guilt - If you go back and read the transcripts from the case that was settled in a civil case - He admitted that he drugged the women to make them. it was a correct call to over-turn his case since he was given immunity in order to force him to testify in the civil case - but by his own mouth - He is a sex offender - Surely you can find better material - And considering how young some of them were when they were assaulted - Yes - He was a Pedo - Not convicted does not mean innocent -

I have a knowledge of the truth - Fact is that Crosby admitted guilt and paid the woman. He was forced to testify when the DA promised not to prosecute - That testimony was sealed and then un-sealed when it was disclosed that he had assaulted women all over the place - Good actor and funny - but He did sexually assault women - He admitted that - I personally think that there is more credibility in quoting some one who is not a sex offender - Than again I don't watch John Wayne movies because he was racist - He too was a good actor
