I would like Vucvic and Walker.

Me too.

However, I could be wrong, but I think both are FA's. Because of that, I don't think they can afford both, since both are likely to get, at least, near max deals.

That's why I like the idea of Beal and Vucevic. They can trade for Beal, sign Vucevic to a near max and have money left to pick up a veteran role player or 2 on 2-3 year deals instead of more 1 year guys. Even if they sign 1 year guys, they'll likely be better 1 year guys than we had this year.

I think they don't need Beal per se because of the emergence of Caruso in combo with Rondo. Vucevic might the ideal signee and then sign him to a 2 or 3-year deal. Sign McVale, Rondo, and maybe Bullock and Muscala to 2-year deals as well.

Muscala has done nothing. I would pass on him. I would look at Brooks again.

If we can get away with it, Lonzo and Kuzma or Hart (preferably Hart) this years lottery pick and probably 2 future first rounders.

Might have to give up Ingram instead of Kuz or Hart, but they should try to avoid that.

Wizards get 2 good young guys with upside and some draft picks to develop until they can get out from under Wall's contract. Lakers get Beal and maybe a bad contract (not Wall's lol) if necessary.

That is too much IMO. I would give up Kuz, Hart, and 2 fist round picks, or Kuz,ingram, and a first only.

Caruso is a point guard and a good backup/spot starter. He's not a guy you want to count on to be a key on a contender. Beal is a shooting guard and a far better player. Rondo is too old, can't shoot and Beal is better than him too.

I would re-sign McGee, Bullock and maybe Muscala as long as none of them wanted too much money.

I'd rather keep Ingram over Lonzo and Beal is an all star caliber shooting guard. I'd definitely give them 2 young guys (preferably none named Ingram) and 3 firsts.

Remember, if they give them this years first rounder (which they'd have to), that's the only one that's likely to be worth much.

The 2 future firsts likely won't be worth much because the Lakers would be contenders. But they would look good as part of a trade package and allow the Wizards to say "We got 3 first round picks".

I wouldn't do any of those aforementioned deals for Beal.

I see your point, but I have to see us make the playoffs first before I entertain the idea of contenders LOL

I'm not trading young pieces for anyone until AD is moved. I would wait and see what happens with AD first. Sign the best of whomever of Durant/Kawhi/Klay/Butler is available and interested. Fill in as possible around the young core, Lebron, and that free agent, then wait out the inevitable AD trade.

If none of those free agents come to fruition, the front office then has to decide whether to sign place holders again or widen their net to guys like Harris, Middleton, Vucevic, etc.

Easier to just go after Vuc and walker and roll with rest.

Magic gave them plenty of time to find a replacement before FA starts.

I think Jeanie should walk across the hall and ask the Icon to be her new GM.
