If I'm Jeanie, my first phone call is to The Logo to see if he would be open to coming back. But not as President or GM...as an advisor.

Then, I let him help me decide who to hire as President and if I decide that Pelinka needs to go (or if he leaves on his own), who to hire as GM.

Then, I keep him around to assist with building the team.

That's the thing. We don't know. Everything was about Magic. I'm not sure how true it is, but I heard that there was a bit of a rift between Magic and Pelinka.

From the moment the Lakers hired him. it's been all about Magic. Maybe the rift was that Pelinka didn't agree with some of what Magic was doing? I can't imagine that Pelinka is upset about not getting enough credit for what happened this season. lol

Pelinka helped clear the cap space for 2 max players. While everyone credited Magic because he's the "name", my bet is that Pelinka who, as a former agent is probably very familiar with the cap, had more to do with it than Magic actually did.

Just heard that the Lakers are said to be targeting Bob Meyers.

Doubt they can get him, but that's a great start.

Pay the man anything he wants!! The timing may be right. He knows GS will be losing players this year. So it will be much tougher for them next year and going forward.

Also, when the Lakers were interested in him previously, it was for the GM position. That would have basically been a lateral transfer.

This would be a promotion.
