Well, if the Lakers go after Bob Myers with the W's, that would be an instant credibility boost and could possibly bring along with him KD and Klay Thompson. I doubt that it will happen, but that is what should happen.

The Queens with Vlade running the show has already called and wants Luke to come up to Sacramento for an interview as Divac has already fired his coaching staff. The Lakers coaching staff is done as well. We shall see who Pelinka brings in. This ought to be just peachy!

This is ridiculous. The new president might not want to even work with Pelinka. Why the hell are you letting him pick the coach or even hiring a coach right now? You hire the president FIRST

I am really starting to question Jennie Buss. Someone really needs to talk to her. Get Pelinka out of here. I was also so wrong with Magic hire. He was an extremely bad hire. It may turn out almost as bad as the Dwightmare and Nash signings IMO.

I agree tomodach. I think both were/are bad hires. There is an article on the website Lake Show Life that explains that Jeanine needs to stop running the Lakers like a family and more like her father ran it. She is making business decisions based on liking someone and remaining loyal to the franchise's detriment. Her brother, Short Buss got himself and the Lakers into a very bad way with the same approach. Not good.

The article continues that Pelinka is loved by all in the Lakers franchise but with the rest of the league is in a bad way and many GMs refuse to answer his phone calls especially with the Pelicans. Just look across the hall. The Clips are considered the premier LA basketball franchise and everything they touch continues to turn up gold even with a fanily atmosphere in the locker room.

She'd better get her head out whatever body orifice it is in or we are in for another crappy season in 2019.

The Lakers have been granted permission to talk with Philly assistant Monty Williams about their vacant head coach position.

I'd prefer this over Lue, Jackson, or Kidd......I think he did a pretty solid job in NO.

Yeah, I'd like to see them go with Monty and if they can't get him, then go with Lue.

What do you guys think of Kobe as team President? I read somewhere that he's considered a favorite by Vegas.

I can't decide. I definitely don't think he'd run things like Magic. He has the brains and the work ethic to be a team president.

I don't think Magic wanted to put in the work that is required to be a team president. That wouldn't be an issue with Kobe.

But, he can also be an asshole and I question how patient he would be. Plus, we'd be back to a President and GM with no experience. Although I think Kobe may overcome some of the initial lack of experience with how hard he'd work.

It would also be kind of fun to see if Lebron tried to pull some of the shit he does with Kobe there. Kobe would probably end up punching him and Rich paul like they were Samaki Walker. lol

No. The Lakers need to get someone from outside the organization.

No way. And Kobe does not want anything to do with a job in the org. He said so. It would be a disaster.

I agree. But I'm not convinced that will happen. I'd like them to get Jerry West or maybe Riles. But I don't see that happening either.

Nobody wants to have anything to do with the Lakers these days according to Lake Show Life.

Kobe as President of Basketball operations would be an unmitigated cluster-eff job the likes we have yet seen. His huge ego would get in the way all day everyday.
