Los Angeles Lakers 2018-2019 Season Thread

I thought I'd get the new era of max FAs in Laker uniforms and a revamped roster in a updated thread started for this new 2018-2019 season.

We begin the preseason tonight, September 30, 2018 in LA against the Nuggies. We open the regular season against Portland on October 18, 2018. Tomorrow is October 1 so we are just a few short weeks away from the regular season.

LeBron is going to play tonight. How much and how long is anyone's guess. It'll be fun to get a look at the new revamped roster and get a small look-see into how things will shake-out.

Can't wait for tonight's game. At work now, will be leaving no later than 4 so I can get home in plenty of time.

Very excited to see how the kids look and how they mesh with Lebron and the other vets.

I wish Lonzo was playing, but apparently they are going to hold him out tonight. Really want to see how he and Lebron work together on the court.

I saw where Lebron was pretty complimentary of Lonzo's recovery from knee surgery: "I didn't know he'd be full go so fast. He's been going through live drills the last 2 and a half days. His bounce is there. His speed is there. So I don't even know if he even had surgery".

Luke had good things to say too: "I was shocked how good he looked in the last 2 days as far as his feel for the game and being out there and competing. He hasn't played any basketball since last season. It's pretty impressive with that much time off, come against guys who have been working all summer, in camp already, you can't really notice a difference between him and the other guys".

Yep me too TJF12. I want to see the look of this team albeit it will be a snippet of the full-season product.

Brandon Ingram is game high scorer so far. Nearly everyone is playing tonight.

We are down by 13 in the second quarter.

Ingram has 10 points, Kuzma 7 points and those are the high scorers so far.

We are down by 14 and the Nuggies bench has played quite well in the first half.

Denver is hitting a lot of threes and everyone there is looking pretty good. McGee is playing some nice D already.

Nice assist by Rondo for the dunk by McGee.

LBJ has 6 points and hits some nice FTs, an area we have sucked in over the last several seasons.

Right out of the box we are hitting 47% in FGs and 37% on from the 3-arc. This is a nice change.

And the Nuggies continue with draining the threes.

Javale McGee looks good in the middle with some nice D and rebounds.

The lead is down to 10.

Ingram, James, McGee, and Kuzma are the high scorers.

Denver has not missed a FT yet in this game.

LeBron pulled up on Jokic to hit his 2nd 3 of the evening. He’s 2 for 2 from 3 stripe, 0 for 3 from 2 line.

KCP looks good tonight.

Ingram has 12 and McGee has 9. These guys just might be the fulcrum point of our O this season.
