He was a really young baby when he was traded here yet he's only 23.
Wow didnt know how young he was

I was kidding. Over 700 posts on a single regular-season baseball game must be an all-time record here.
He honestly doesn't interest me... he is sort of a hot head and his numbers are way down. To his credit though, he is playing at Petco but I'm not sure how much a boost he really gives.
You couldn't possibly be any more wrong calling him a hothead. The guy is the picture of a consummate professional and teammate. Criticize his production all you want, but a hothead he is not.
What are you guys hearing about the Rangers going after Carlos Quentin? He was a game-time scratch with a "tweaked knee" and Padres fans are speculating that there are serious talks to move him, which I seriously doubt because the Padres would be broadcasting such a fact for leverage. You hearing anything?
way off topic, but good to see you RangerDude....
and...back to the game.
Haven't heard anything recently, and I'm not sure he'd really be an upgrade anyways.

I think that's a Huge upgrade over Murphy lol
"Reports" are that JD says the Garza deal is the move and not to expect anything else. Course that leaves the door open for another acquisition late by making it look like they aren't moving again.
I think TEX doesn't do anything though until they see what MLB does potentially tomorrow on the "Biogenesis Bunch". If Cruz is tagged ... then most likely TEX does not make a move because they would have a new hole to fill. That will be too much to fix with not much of a guarantee it is worth it.
Quentin might be an interesting fit since TEX will need a RH COF acquisition in the offseason anyway and Quentin is signed through 2015 with a 2016 option.
Good to see you too Lainey... good to see a Rangers walk off win too huh?
True. Probably in the same way rios might be in upgrade. You could certainly do worse. I didn't realize he was getting on base at a .365 clip.
Wow it took him 7 years to come into the league? This is why you never know with prospects
He's even better than rios by a decent magin
Another factor is that Quentin is a local SD boy and not likely to waive the no-trade clause. word from upstairs is that they're not even asking him to waive it.
The Padres' season will be a success if we can play spoiler in the division and Quentin will be a big part of whether we do that or not.
So based on what you guys are saying, I guess this is a non-story.
Soto has been putting some good at bats together. Ride him while he's hot!
Wonder what the padres want for him.
We are really having an answer on that stuff tomorrow?
