You guys need to get excited about the Rangers.

Believe me, we want to be, but they've been making some of us consider hanging ourselves lately.

Unfortunately wash doesn't see it that way. He loves Murphy's veteraness.

My thought is that it's one thing you doing it with someone like Michael Young and someone who has a greater career and track record than a career 4th OF'er who is having his worst season by playing every day and in reality getting exposed for being that every day player. But then again the OF depth has been an issue all season long.

And yet you and others continue to defend him I spite of these types of things. :tsk:

Last year JD went out and got Soto ... setting up the YT DFA. In the off-season he moved MY. So it would not be the first time that JD removed one of Wash's pets from the roster were he to make a minor move with Murphy.

What is ironic is that TEX got Murphy and E. Beltre in the Gagne trade with BOS seven years ago. Now one of them may be eclipsing the other in LF for the balance of the season.

I've always maintained that I don't agree with everything he does and never have. But I think there's a difference from disagreeing on things and flat out wanting him gone for that. I just think there are managers down the list where the same criticism will be there as I see with other fan bases and how we saw from all the managers prior. Like I said I am not absolutely opposed to change but as of right now I just don't feel that move is yet necessary and that he is the sole reason for the way this team has been hitting. Just my thought tho.

What a great trade that ended up being with just Murphy and if Beltre is what he was kinda hyped to be a few years ago then damn that will be great.

What are you guys hearing about the Rangers going after Carlos Quentin? He was a game-time scratch with a "tweaked knee" and Padres fans are speculating that there are serious talks to move him, which I seriously doubt because the Padres would be broadcasting such a fact for leverage. You hearing anything?

I heard Quentin's name a while back but nothing as of recently.

Fact is, he is hurting this team several times per week with his stubbornness. Thats just not acceptable to me.

Haven't heard anything recently, and I'm not sure he'd really be an upgrade anyways.

Wow it took him 7 years to come into the league? This is why you never know with prospects

He honestly doesn't interest me... he is sort of a hot head and his numbers are way down. To his credit though, he is playing at Petco but I'm not sure how much a boost he really gives.

I do agree sometimes his lineups etc are a head scratcher but that is mainly talking about Murphy.

Soto has been putting some good at bats together. Ride him while he's hot!

He was a really young baby when he was traded here yet he's only 23.

You couldn't possibly be any more wrong calling him a hothead. The guy is the picture of a consummate professional and teammate. Criticize his production all you want, but a hothead he is not.

That's not a minuscule thing. That's a very big thing. Along with some others, like not seeing hitting AJ fifth is killing us. It's just not acceptable to me.
